| I cannot decide what jacket to buy instead of North Face. What's next? What is life after North Face? |
| What's wrong with NF? |
| Life after NF is Burberry. On a serious note, who so hung up on brands?? LL Bean makes the most awesome down coats, go try if you feel like. |
| montcler, canada goose, burberry, belstaff, barbour |
| Arc'teryx |
| Oh yes OP, go buy a Montcler, because NF is out! It will cost you, but at least you won't be wearing the wrong thing. |
| Love my Burberry trench. I have had it for 10 years, and it is still going strong. |
|
I'm still wearing my North Face jacket. It's warm and still in good shape, so I don't see a reason to get something else.
But I've never considered it (or me) to be high fashion or anything. It's a utilitarian jacket to wear on weekends. |
| Rule of thumb: whatever was in in fashion forward areas five years ago is now in here because DC is flyover country on stilts. |
Moncler is really crappily made. I had a coat that literally came unraveled. |
| Canada Goose. Warmest coats on the planet. |
These are! Not cheap, but super warm. |
|
I have a HERNO in a pretty champagne color (great looking, comfy, not for the coldest days but warm, $$$$$)
For the record, I also like NF, and do NOT think they are out of style. |
|
You do all know that down jackets are inhumane right?
Down is the tiny soft feather that they rip out of birds. There are plenty of other warm options out there. |
|
Lots of people and dogs eat those birds. Might as well use all of them.
Tho I'd look for humanely sourced down. Patagonia and several others. |
