If North Face jackets are out, what's in?

Try Patagonia. But this is one of those things that you need something that fits your needs, not necessarily something that is "in".

OP again.

what about columbia? is that just no? im just so tired of NF

I also don't really think North Face is in or out but I do think Patagonia is better quality for the same price point. However their sizing is huge in my opinion and NF fits me much better so its kind of a give and take on that standpoint. Once I buy a NF or Patagonia I absolutely wear it for about ten years so it won't be "on trend" anyway.

My father was a skier. He gave me an old North Face from the 80's. Still looks brand new. I don't care what's in or out. My North Face gear has lasted a long time and you get what you pay for.

I have a Columbia jacket and like it very much, so does my DD. Didn't buy them for "style," however.

Everyone in my family has a Patagonia Down Sweater (its a jacket, they call it the sweater b/c it is lighter than a big puffy coat) and it is seriously the most comfortable everyday jacket. Perfect for cold days at the park and sporting events etc.

Down is the tiny soft feather that they rip out of birds.
There are plenty of other warm options out there.

There's such a thing as humane down:

NF is out of style? Good. I'll go back to wearing it again.

I stopped being label conscious at 30 and just wear what I like.

How is that humane? Giving it a different name doesnt make it humane. You still have to pull the feathers of, I'm pretty sure thats painful.
