Um, Trump's second terms starts Jan. 2. |
DP. Inauguration Day is January 20. |
Ballot measures passed in 7 out 10 states. The issue is now effectively a state issue and is over for Federal elections. |
That was other “experts”paid to speculate for this news article. They were not involved in this case at all nor do they have any details |
That was a successful talking point/ trick. It stops being effective when the Republicans work to fulfill all of their promises from project 2025. Maybe you believed your own lie? If so, you are in for a very confusing and difficult few years. |
What are you even talking about? Abortion is now a state issue, like zoning. Going forward there is limited prospect of abortion influencing Federal elections. Democrats tried to make it an issue this election by getting referenda on the ballot in several states with mixed success. The only national issue for Democrats ifs whether they would propose national legislation to make Roe federal law. It’s notable that they have had several opportunities under Obama and Biden to attempt to do so but demurred. So not enough the Democratic Party truly wants to actually pass national abortion legislation. |
So, you know nothing about how government works. |
You are underestimating how simple the evangelical and conservative Catholic MAGA voters are. It's been beaten into their heads to "save the fetuses" and anyone can tap into that, no matter what is actually practical. |
Birth control and condoms are very practical |
But not 100% effective, plus many of the awful tragedies happening to women in the states with bans are with wanted pregnancies. |
Except there aren’t “many awful tragedies” happening due to the abortion ban. Women can still get abortions if they are medically necessary. The end. |
This election showed that abortion isn't the same issue it used to be.
Abortion is legal in the vast majority of states up to the 20th week and most states up to the third trimester. |
…zoning? Wtf? During the limited windows of control it wasn’t the highest priority for political capital. Plus, it was considered “settled”. |
Fear? It’s already here. Red states already treat women like second class citizens. Just like they did to enslaved people. |
DP...I guess you missed where the GOP wants to pass FEDERAL laws banning abortions and limiting contraception. |
