The problem is if the family gives their verbal but then looks/commits elsewhere. I would imagine there is a large intersection of coaches who offer in November are the same coaches who will be vindictive. This is especially problematic for kids that aren't the top 1-2 kids. They cannot afford to burn any bridges and these coaches are preying on that fear.
