Child got left out of class picture

I wouldn't ask, It's a class picture that she won't remember, you likely won't keep, and it's just so unnecessary. Please OP, you will have enough hills to climb and battles to fight, don't make this an issue.

Sigh. The word "individual" means one person. The photographer plans to return anyway to take pictures of the individual students who missed picture day. During that visit he or she can also retake photos of entire classes if necessary.

It's just not that complicated.

Do you work for a photography company? Because no, they won’t retake class pics on INDIVIDUAL picture retake day.

??? Are people posting here who have no experience with class pictures? There will be proofs of all of them. Order the one you like best. Personally, I choose the one where my kid has his eyes open and looks the least goofy. I don't give a crap which one the other parents choose.

OP's kid didn't miss her individual school photo (well, maybe she did, but that isn't the issue, and there are always reshoots of them). She missed the *class picture* - the picture of the entire class. Which is why, not coincidentally, the title of the post is "Child got left out of class picture."

So, I guess, the question is, do *you* actually have kids, or are you just a dumbass?

dp. I think it is you that has the reading comp problem. Other people are saying that it's not going to cost extra for the photographer to retake the class picture because the photographer will already be there at the school another time to do retakes for students who missed their individual pics the first time around. While the photographer is there, it would just be a matter of another 10 minutes or whatever to assemble this class for another class picture.

And then as for complaints that another kid will be left out of this new class picture because he was absent this day, another poster was saying that all the various class pictures can be available for order on the website (as it's all website ordering these days) and parents can pick the one their child is in.

this happened to us once and they photoshopped my kid in.

this happened to another kid once, they photoshopped her kid in, and she paid for 30 copies of the class picture, and sent every family the class picture with her kid in it, so all families would have her kid in the class picture.

Yes, it is a big deal because the school messed up and it needs to be fixed. It just happened to my son and he’s in fifth grade and he was there that day so it should be retaking. It is a big deal.!!!

THIS is a great idea. Ask for an informal pic of the whole class and frame that one for your house.

That's just odd. You have your pic with your kid in it, but most people will never look at these pics again, it's not that important to them to have a pic of your kid.
