| I've never found Jason Bateman attractive. Perfectly nice looking, and still is, but nothing to write home about. Linda Cardellini is looking excellent, though! Hate her hairstyle but I think that's a wig. |
I also agree that the weird sex stuff was painful. It was all cringy awkwardness that took attention away from the fact that Floyd was a very confused angel sent from heaven. It was interesting in that what was destroying Floyd was the same thing that women experience as they hit middle age. We become the crone - unattractive and not wanted - not interesting to anyone. This show hit me in the feelings hard several times. Watching a mom deal with a child for whom there is little help. Knowing she doesn't have the funds to support his needs, knowing she loves someone who helps them and hurts them. She was so stuck and trapped. I feel so sorry for the son. He never knew how much Floyd loved him. Floyd sincerely loved people. Very few people can maintain that level of care for others given what life throws at all of us. |
Yeah, loved Linda. For those complaining about the sex in the show, I would’ve liked to have seen a lot more of her. Back in the day, Playboy would be calling about now, and we would have gotten a tastefully done “treat”, if she was so inclined. |
The guys call me the “Bang Master” - Classic. |
I get that the show isn't for everyone, but in the finale, everything really came together. It was heartbreaking, and the themes about people and their struggles felt very real, despite some of the earlier episodes that just seemed far-fetched and maybe even weird. I wasn't sure what I would think of the show but I stuck with it, and the finale was worth it. |
No. Arrested Development is one of the best comedies made. |
I heard he had just lost weight for another role before doing this one. Anyway, I loved the show. The ending was a little disappointing after all the set-up and theories, but the actors were great. |
Oh I LOVED the ending. After all the weirdness all season, the ultimate end of Floyd was relatable. |

I made the terrible mistake of listening to Smartless for a while. I can't take Bateman seriously in anything anymore. He is a very annoying, very privileged, very LA, rich man.
And he doesn't click with anything outside that little orbit. Whereas Arnett and Hayes seem perfectly capable of acting and can dig and be relatable. Bateman is just... swings hands in the air. Unpleasant. |
| I loved this show and Carol’s character arc. So many great lines too: Speak Up! Wow! No way, Jose! Get full on. |
What do you think was up with her saying " speak up!" I couldn't figure that one out. I too liked the show. |
She's listening to a self-help audiobook when running and it recommended to say "speak up" as a way to exert dominance over others in a conversation |

I like this show (so far, not finished yet).
I agree that Bateman doesn't look good, but I think he's styled to be a little less attractive. I think he could still look decent with a better haircut. I love how diabolical Linda Cardellini is! And Harbour is a good actor. |
