| Love JB. |
Ok? My point still stands. |
| I love Jason Bateman but given the reviews my expectations are low. I’ll probably try it on the weekend. |
I find him smarmy. |
It’s like marveling that grass grows. Glad he hasn’t become unrecognizable from plastic surgery/procedures like so many in Hollywood. |
|
I’m not usually a fan of either Jason Bateman or David Harbour, but I thought both were quite good in this. And Steven Conrad is a really talented writer.
Normally I’d give this a pass based on the concept and what I’ve heard were “meh” reviews, but I’ll hang in there for Steven Conrad. The first episode got me intrigued. |
| He was great as Derek in Silver Spoons, he saved that show. Hasn't really matched that since then. |
|
Agree he aged suddenly but isnt it how that goes?
i watch a lot of HBO "prestige" comedy and think this is a dud. Will watch the next episode though to see if it gets better |
| Getting a little tired of Bateman. |
| Racking my brain trying to think of the other male actor that aged the same way facially...the gaunting. Rob Lowe? |
| Men naturally age that way. Don’t love his recent projects but wouldn’t kick him out of bed for eating crackers. |
+1. This was marketed as a dark comedy, but the first episode wasn't very funny. There were a lot of potential plot devices introduced in the first episode that seem destined to not matter in the end, and while I don't require a linear storyline there was so much going on that the flashbacks/flashforwards were hard to follow. |
| Ok here we go. Episode 2 out. |
| He did seem to agree suddenly between the Black Rabbit show and this one. I feel like I just saw him in Black Rabbit and now he looks much worse. |
| Age not agree. Sorry! |
