Just saw episode 2, and I feel like the story is developing in intriguing ways. I thought this episode had less humor but more interest in terms of the story itself.

I actually like it. I thought aspects of episode 3 were touching. But I like admittedly like a lot of things people would consider weird.

I just thought he looked much older bc they didn't do a lot of makeup on him. I think that was his character, just some old guy from Missouri.

My husband is oddly into this show and watched episodes 2 and 3. I think it's fairly terrible.

Those parts are great but the weird sex stuff is just too much. We don't need endless views and weird shots of weird sh%t.

I'm glad other people are saying stuff like this because I have also had this nagging fear that I have already gone through all the things that are actually "good" ... though it could just be that I keep making poor choices lately which don't work well with my ADD.

there have been like at least half a dozen shows I've tried to start to watch in the last month or so, and either I get bored halfway through, or they're the kind that aren't thrown up online as an entire series at once and I literally almost start to forget the narrative of those over the next week, and often repeat previous episodes just to ramp back up to speed again. Ok no harm, no foul.

Maybe I'm just in a weird space but I agree with 11:38, the weird sex stuff is off putting.

It says a lot that by episode X it's not even half over and I don't know what's going on ... but realizing I'm also not that actually interested/invested enough to find out.

I just started DTF, I’m 2 episodes in, and my main question is whether Jason Bateman is on a glp-1? He looks so thin- gaunt really. And I wouldn’t have thought he needed to lose any weight.

I like it so far.

Each episode is more disappointing than the previous on was. The jumps in time and various narrative perspectives are making it hard to follow, and the central mystery is just not interesting enough to spend a lot of brainpower on.

I’ll finish it since there are only 2 more episodes, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone as great television.

I think the point of this show is that things are not always as they seem. The female detective for example dresses and acts so strait laced, it's hard to believe she's into porn and could be persuaded by the other detective to falsify a job application to illegally gain access to sealed records.

There are many other examples - nice guy Floyd being insensitive to his wife, and being able to do a pommel horse! Nice guy Clark being a pathological liar, while irritating Carol has some laudable attributes like trying to get her household and marriage back on track.

My money is on Eimy being involved, simply because it would be so out of character from what we know about her. But she's been lied to, blown off and cheated on with her family's money squandered by Clark. She's highly organized, has access to the bike, medication and probably the computer/text messages about what could happen to Floyd if he took too much of a dose. She might low-key be glad to see Clark squirm with a capital murder charge.

Maybe Eimy and/or the detectives go down while Clark and Carol, despite their sliminess, go free.

I've liked it quite a bit so far. I don't like "weird for weird sake." This show isn't that, exactly. But it's a little off-kilter.

David Harbour's character is a lovable loser and Linda Cardellini's character has manipulative in a kind of fun way. Someone around here has made it very clear that Jason Bateman isn't everyone's taste, but for my part, he's been a reliably solid actor for decades.

Watched the last episode last night. Disappointing and rather bleak show overall. I kept waiting for it to get better or have an interesting twist, but it never did. If you haven’t started it but it’s in your queue, I wouldn’t bother.
