Did you know Mathew Broderick killed two women in 1987?

He paid a 100 pound fine.

I had NO idea. Only found out as part of a trivia question.

Always thought of him as a big soft pudgy wimp. This kinda ups his street cred a little.
Jen Gray and then SJP. He certainly has a type doesn't he?
they were all child actors and two are children of actors.

Of course, killing two people must be thrilling to someone who lives in an Arlington suburb with a middling career and a spouse who can barely tolerate them.

She was badly injured and he didn’t let her get checked out in the hospital because of his pride - she later developed back issues and when she went on dancing with the stars and got injured, a back surgeon said she’d essentially been walking around one tiny wrong move and she could be paralyzed for life. I believe she eventually had back surgery.

She did not paint him as a good person at all. He constantly cheated with her too. It makes me doubt that he stayed faithful to Sarah Jessica.

What do women see in this guy? He seems smug.

In Ireland he was driving on the wrong side not the victims

Why are you repeating what the PP said? Bot?

I didn't see what the pp wrote. Do bots make mistakes? I am human. Are you?

But you did.... You quoted it ...
And then said the same thing.

This deserves its own thread but think of all the drunk posts the data model algorithms are scraping this holiday season to add to AI. Warms my heart.

I feel the same way.

I’m terrified to drive abroad on the left side.

Until fairly recently, almost all UK/Irish rental cars were stick shift, which made it even harder to drive there if you’re not used to it. My usually-stoic brother cried while trying to negotiate a tricky series of intersections and roundabouts in England once. He eventually pulled over until he could calm down and figure it all out.

I’m honestly surprised Americans are even allowed to rent cars in the UK. Everything is backward: Sitting on the right side, shifting gears with your left hand, merging from the left etc. I wouldn’t even attempt it.

I did it recently for the first time in Grand Cayman and the takeaway for me and my friend was that either of us could only do it with the other actively engaged in the driving, pointing out where to turn, which side of the roundabout to enter, etc. We needed each other to be aware and check against our gut driving impulses.
