Do you own any thongs?

You have bad hygiene.

+1 this exactly.

I tried to "go back" to briefs and they tried hipsters/boyshorts. I can't stand the VPL and riding up. I don't feel anything wearing a thong. Maybe people are wearing the wrong size.

Or maybe people are wearing the correct size but simply do not like the feeling of a strip of fabric between their butt cheeks. Notice you didn't say "the feeling of a thong doesn't bother me" but rather "I don't feel anything." Well there is something there, and others of us CAN feel it and dont' like it.

Maybe you lack nerve endings in your butt.

Yes, I think different people have different sensory levels. There is no way I could ever tolerate a thong. I am generally picky about the types of fabrics that go directly against my skin, and I cut off most tags because they're too scratchy.

+1 the generalizing on here and absolute certaintly that what one feels everyone must feel is unreal.
I cannot cannot sleep naked. I have to have on underwear and a tank top at the very least, and I usually have more including socks. But I understand that there are lots of people who can only sleep naked!

See how that works?

Let's amend that a bit.

"I find them extremely uncomfortable and unhygienic on myself, the way I am shaped, my sensory issues, my landscaping and hygiene habits, etc."

I like thongs, and I find them very comfortable on ME, very hygienic on ME. Everything is always tidy, clean and there are no VPLs, wedgies or other discomforts on ME.

Was it necessary to be so pedantic? PP clearly said “I find” so it’s implied that they meant their personal experience with them.

I have a few. For a couple decades or more, that’s all I wore. I have a big butt for my size and other styles just never felt as comfortable or practical. Since discovering boy shorts though … I’m in love!

I also have other a few styles of underwear that work well with certain pants or jeans; my underwear shouldn’t make the outfit but If I’m not comfortable or am constantly needing to adjust an undergarment, nothing feels like it looks good.

Yes, I only wear thongs! I'm 49 years old, 3 kids

None. I haven’t since before I had my first in 2010. So no things since ‘09.

It’s all in wear or no underwear at all.

What a dullard. At any rate, I agree with the first PP. I find them extremely uncomfortable and unhygienic.

I think people's bodies are just different. I basically don't have a perineum, and thongs are extremely uncomfortable for me. Also, I have to be really careful about hygiene since there is not much space between my vaginal opening and my anus.

Sorry to be graphic, but there is an appalling lack of awareness as to how some women were mutilated during childbirth.

Anonymous wrote:One reason I don't wear thongs is that I think they feel bad unless you wax the full "undercarriage" and I don't like doing that. I keep things trimmed and tidy so that nothing is visible in a bathing suit, but I also tend to wear more full coverage bathing suits.

So not wearing a thong saves me a monthly waxing appointment, which I don't want to go to anyway. It's just all more high maintenance.

If it makes you feel better, I get regular Brazilian waxes (including the back part) and hate thongs.

And for those of you who say your thongs don’t go inside your glutes, doesn’t that defeat the purpose? Because you’d still have VPL? Just unorthodox VPL?

Thongs and g-strings are my daily wear except
on occasion when going commando is more practical - yoga, gym, cycling, sundress wear etc.

When I dress up, I’ll wear a lace thong/bra lingerie set. They aren’t particularly comfortable but it completes the look.

I will also wear workout thongs to the gym if wearing bike shorts or leggings. Also not the most comfortable, but going commando just is yuck.

Otherwise, I wear cotton bikini underwear. No VPL since I’m mostly wearing cotton rigid denim.
