LOL "Shorthills."
Jersey girl here. That's not how you spell it, troll. |
| Please stay in NJ. |
Ah. I see they have no money left (no one lives in Wheaton or Rockville unless they can't afford anywhere else). As for OP, he is trolling. Even in NYC Short Hills isn't what captures attention for serious money. Many of the NJ towns do have nice areas with old school mansions/large houses, surrounded by more mundane housing. But serious money is in the city and then spread out in a veneer of very expensive mansions in CT or Westchester, sharing zip codes with solidly UMC (albeit very UMC) neighborhoods. |
Kalorama, Mass Heights, parts of Georgetown. Most F U money is tech and goes to McLean. Wall Street F U money has little future because tech is developing ways to replace Wall Street. Maybe buy a big house in Arlington near public transportation. You could AirBnB it when only the quants are left on Wall St |
Do her kids go to Little Langley or Potomac? |
If only the MoCo natives could see this side of NJ. It's so much better than here in almost all ways. Better schools, better housing stock, better town centers. |
|
The OP must be a troll. No real person searches for relocation in terms of “prestige”. It’s too on the nose
Just checking on Zillow, that area of NJ has 2-5 million dollar houses. The answer is certain neighborhoods of Bethesda and McLean. Nothing special though. With that money I’d get myself a nice condo in Manhattan, not in some Newark suburb |
Why? You do you. |
| Prestige in the DMV is measured differently than prestige in NYC. Short Hills doesn’t exist in this area. |
| So large McMansions... that would be Potomac and parts of Great Falls. |
|
+100 From Livingston and the first thing that popped out to me. Clearly a troll. |
Huh? What town centers? Better schools? I grew up in that area and it’s boring as shit. Are you actually referring to a place like Summit? That’s definitely not Bernardsville. It’s as though you are trying to compare Middleburg to Bethesda. They are completely different types of places. |
| Kalorama or Wesley Heights |
lol I moved from Arlington VA to Short Hills in 2014 and I remember crowdsourcing DCUM back then ! Short Hills is hmmm ok but I still miss Lyon Village . Potomac comes close to Short Hills
