I bet people are rethinking mass at school since the school shooting during mass. Also, is it standard procedure now to lock kids into the church during mass?

No. I am not concerned about my child attending Mass.

Maybe you should be.

Does your school lock the doors during the day? What’s the difference? Your kids are locked in all day.

You’re not going to scare people into not sending their kids to Mass.

Same in our school, but the littles (i think preK-1st?) only go once a month.

I’ll also add if there’s a holy day of obligation during the week, they go that day and not as usual on Friday.

For our (Arlington Diocese) school if there’s a holy day of obligation they go for a second time during the week in addition to their regularly scheduled Mass day.

And do kids go to hell if they miss a school mass (without a good excuse, of course, acceptable to God and/or the Catholic school)?

No.
