As a parent, if there's such a big change in a short period of time, I'd be concerned about juicing, 'roids, HGH, and a bunch of other things.
My 20 year old is ripped. But it's lean muscle from his insane workouts and running. It's hard to get bulk and super big at that age unless you are willfully supplementing with crap. Do a little deep dive into the effects of all these supplements - tiny balls, low sperm count, performance issues, rage, mood disorders. And really explain it to him. Tell him to be clean, because the costs are really high if he's not. |
I’m in NW DC. You, OP? |
The bulking doesn’t make much sense to me unless you are an actual athlete.
My 6’3” actual college athlete kid on a strict training routine wants to maintain at around 200-205 based on the college trainer advice. |
Can someone explain supplements to avoid and are those the same or different than steroids? |
This is a perfect example of how mothers hate their own sons. He is getting into good shape and taking care of himself. Lifting weights helps build self confidence which I bet OP hates. She has probably been undermining him his entire life. |
6'1 and 225 isn't that huge - not like some of the more grotesque body builder physiques. |
If my 20 year old is buying his own clothes and taking care of himself, I wouldn’t say a word. But I’m not one to comment on appearances in general. |
Well OP is a Trump voter, so she’d probably prefer if he was a fat, orange, incoherent rapist. |
He must be able to bench more than 315 if he is that weight and it’s muscle. I mean…I am a relatively old man (42) at 200 and I can do 5 reps at 300. I guess if he’s doing 20 reps. |
That son of yours is dopin’ up on roids. Eww |
Where is that in her post? I can’t find it. Was it deleted? |
Is he using steroids? That would be my concern. Haven’t read other replies. |
I think he’s probably gay. Doing that starting at 25 years old screams gay guy to me. |
Increased strength is associated with right-wing views. Gym bros did not vote for Harris. As for OP, good for your son. No idea why you'd think his taking charge of his physique is bad. |
+1 Imagine if the roles were reversed? “I went to college and my mom got fat. It caught me off guard.” |
