Go to Liberty. Pay up.

VT because of the corp of cadets. CNU and Longwood.

Conservative or MAGA?

There are broadly two types of conservatives right now.

MAGA has a viewpoint and is not interested in debate or discussion. When they reply to anything non-MAGA, they generally respond to a left-wing, lunatic straw man, not to the actual person or question. This type of person will not fit well at any highly selective college because great colleges are places of skepticism and open-ended inquiry. MAGA hates the very essence of that, and the university will shun them for their hate. MAGA fits best where everyone is singing from the MAGA hymn book and not questioning anything. Liberty is a good fit.

Traditional conservatives have a bias, but they are still thinking adults and willing to thoughtfully engage other viewpoints. They value the university’s open inquiry and a highly selective university will love them back for it. Go to UVA or WM.

So?

Critical thinking skills are not strong with MAGA. Revisit the thread title.

I can't think of any. A good option would be a scholarship to Alabama, some smaller Florida school, or U of South Carolina.

Go walk around campus or grounds in a maga hat and let us know how that went for you.
You don't have to be "MAGA" to be a conservative.
In fact, you can't be.

This. MAGA is inherently NOT conservative. It’s reactionary. These are things you learn in college.

OP, if he’s normal conservative like the 80s, you shouldn’t spent any time thinking about this. No one cares.

If he thinks Yarvin is a Demi God, Trump is awesome, and due process is debatable, I recommend Wheaton (Illinois), Hillsdale, Liberty, or Bob Jones.

Most college students, anywhere, are not "middle of the road/moderate." Never have been, probably never will be.

That's strange, when I went to college we were all more concerned about money and if we could get a job when we graduated.

Most public colleges in Virginia will have variety of students with different political beliefs OP.

+1
I love the posters who insist all college students are liberal. Nope.

That is easy

Virginia Tech, James Madison and George Mason.

William and Mary are unwelcoming.

UVA is neutral to slightly unwelcoming.
\

James Madison is full of pleasant, friendly, kind people. So by definition, not conservative.

DP. Just stop. I agree JMU is full of great people, and many are also conservative. Same with every other campus in VA. I certainly wouldn't want my kids attending a school where only one political orthodoxy is acceptable.

And again - there are only about 1,300 cadets at VT out of about 30,000 students. That has nothing to do with anything and there are a wide range of political beliefs there, as at any large school.

Not quite. He won something like 40% of college educated men.

DP. I got a good giggle out of the bolded, considering you just described liberals in absolutely perfect projection. If one doesn't agree 1000% with liberals, they are shunned, mocked, and shouted down. At this point, we've all witnessed this terrible behavior. But nice try.

What is the old saying..... if you are 20 years old and not a liberal you have no heart. And if you are 50 years old and not a conversative you have no brain.

MAGAs aren’t conservative. They are a fascist cult of personality whose adherents tried to violently overthrow the elected government of the United States.

- A conservative
