Go walk around campus or grounds in a maga hat and let us know how that went for you.

MAGA is not conservative, btw.

It's the law school mostly

And economics (the original conservative home there), and political science…

That it has touched multiple fields tells you a lot about the culture. Very welcoming to conservatives both amongst the faculty and students.

VT is probably a bit more conservative than UVA or W&M., but that is mainly vibes talking..

There's some new dynamics now, as young people seem to be trending significantly more conservative than they used to be. Trump won 56% of young men and 40% of young women.

Reagan won 61% of young men. Trump actually won 58% in 2016.

Trump won uneducated men. Not the college students or college grads.

The word Conservative is loaded right now;

MAGA Republican vs Eisenhower/Bush/Dole Republican that we all feel right now. Voting for Trump is not Conservative - Bush/Cheney voted Democrat.

With Musk it will soon to be: America Party vs MAGA vs Old Guard Republican

VA colleges are filled with: America and Old Guard and they are OK with the Dems because all three don't like MAGA.

You don't have to be "MAGA" to be a conservative.

Most college students, anywhere, are not "middle of the road/moderate." Never have been, probably never will be.

I have three kids in college, all of whom are very much middle of the road moderates - as are their friends. Not sure what planet you're living on.

The "military population" (?) at VT is only about 1,300 students - out of about 30,000. In other words, tiny.

Sure, keep telling yourself college educated men - and women - didn't vote for Trump.

You and your son are not oppressed. Stop watching Fox.

Sure, they will meet some conservative students and could join a political club. Maybe a few professors are conservative. However, the dominant culture on every campus except Liberty is liberal.

And maybe conservatives need to ask themselves why it is that people who educate themselves tend to move toward liberal ideas. Hmmmmm. More information about the world and about other people = more caring, more kindness, less selfishness, more introspection, etc etc etc.

Or you can stay conservative and continue to care only about money.

The idea that conservatives are oppressed and need all this DEI intervention would be so F-in comical if these deranged deplorables weren't so dangerous and destructive.
