EVERY upper middle class tween and teen girl wearing booty shorts

That someone thinks using the expression “the poors” is cute says a lot about her maturity level. It’s not cute.

+1 And yet the boys wear shorts down to their knees. It’s quite the contrast.

I had to check the year of your post because unfortunately, many of the boys are also wearing short shorts now. It’s a thing.

Was going to say this. Boys’ shorts have gotten shorter and shorter and sometimes rival those of the girls. It’s the look right now for them.

Those were nothing compared to the so called booty shorts made of Lycra where you can see the butt crack from top to bottom. There are more girls with cellulite than in my day and it’s highlighted with those see through Lycra shorts. And they are ugly shorts that have one job, to show off their ass. And I don’t think too many of them look at the back in a mirror

Are they like Nike Pro shorts? DD17 and her friends don't wear them at school. DD is a gymnast so wears them during practice and workouts but those shorts are tight and give you wedgies, very uncomfortable in hot weather.

11 year olds are stick figures. Wait until she matures. The shorts look a lot different.

I hate this so much. More than any other trend it strikes me as a giant trick the patriarchy has played on young girls/women to get them to wear the most uncomfortable and ill-fitting-for-the-activity swimsuit. I was very irritated that even Title 9 has cheeky bathing suits that are purportedly for 'surfing.'

The short shorts don't bother me. I think the really short ones where your butt cheeks are exposed and touching the public seat of wherever you're sitting is gross, but that's a hygiene issue.

I avert my eyes! I don’t want to see anyone’s butt cheek.

OP's title specifically references "tweens" and her post mentions -- with dismay -- that some of the girls looking elementary-school age. So it seems she takes offense to even stick figures wearing these shorts.

Anyways, I don't care at any age.

I think the main issue is that schools do not seem to have dress codes anymore. T&A hanging out all over the place in the classrooms. So it appears that we truly do not care much about it these days.

Democrats want to normalize the worst societal behaviors, including classroom violence.

Not care about what? The fact that their daughters have asses? Everyone has one. Let’s put this misogyny and shame to bed, shall we?

Because they can't read the minds of perverts and pearl clutchers. They are living their lives. I thank god I have boys because I remember being a young teen girl. Men harassed me even when I was wearing baggy jeans and a sweatshirt. It's not about the clothes...

The girls rubbing their butt cheeks on chairs are the perverts.
