Sad you don’t do anything when you see it happening where your kids spend their days.

And what have you done. Maybe I will get inspired.

No need at my kids’ school. Your kids are at risk though. What’s your plan?

According to NAIS will come soon to all schools.

So you have no plan. Sad.

Yes sad. Same plan as yours.

No noticeable difference at our school.

I’m fairly involved in DEI from the parent-side at my DC’s school. HOS has been clear that the current climate on DEI will not impact the school’s work on DEI.

My DC’s school serves families with college educated, mostly moderate parents who lean liberal. These are not families who would want DEI rolled back at their school, even if they aren’t super involved/care about DEI themselves.

Op, it’s weird that you don’t just ask your school administration about this if you care (either way) about DEI. I care, so I asked.

Our school hasn’t changed anything. I would be wary of any school capitulating at this point when they don’t receive federal funds. Look at the law firms bending the knee. Look at Columbia vs Harvard’s response.

Stop using this as an excuse to support your school rolling back critical DEI efforts.

It’s happening everywhere you like it or not. And if it’s not happening in your school right now it will happen when your kids go to college. The rollback of DEI policies is taking place as we speak in all colleges.

Privates blew a ton of money on providing multiple DEI minders and now they’re stuck with the tab.

Agree. Extremely expensive. Ask university of Michigan….

DEI is not going anywhere in good schools. It's baked into most good curricula (learning differentiation). If your child has a learning disability, you have benefited from DEI. If your child is advanced in a subject area, you have benefited from DEI. If you have a daughter, you have benefited from DEI. If your kid is left-handed, you have benefited from DEI. If your child has ever broken a bone and needed assistance in school, you have benefited from DEI.... However, if you are using DEI to mean URM, then just say that, because that is what this administration means. And if that's what your schools are rolling back, creating environments that look like the DC metro area, they were never that concerned anyway.

There is cascade effect starting with the board members that are closest to the corporate sector.

Let’s talk in 4 years and see who was right. Under the current trends in a couple of years DEI will be fully suppressed from colleges and corporations. Maybe schools as well.
