Birthday gift ideas for 12 year old girls who have mostly everything

Agree. For my DD’s friend’s recent birthdays the gifts she picked out were: a specific book and cute book mark; a bird feeder; an athleta gift card because the friend was saving for a specific pair of pants; a book of Greek mythology; and a mine craft gift card (boy).

+1. DD, 13, is in charge of figuring out what the bday kid likes. I give DD a deadline to find out beforehand. Sometimes she knows off-hand. She also gone to Target after school with the upcoming bday girl to basically figure it out and other times -- especially with acquaintances -- she asks someone who is very close friends with the bday girl what she wants.

Ask the parent of the child. It is kid specific. My kid likes personalized things - would love a name or initial necklace or stationary (but not other personalized clothes etc). Gift card to book store or target. I usually do target when I have no clue - many have an Ulta inside and can buy books, clothes, candy.

A lot of girls do basically tell people what they want. DD, 13, has been invited to some larger bday parties of 30-40 kids for acquaintances. She usually goes to one of the bday girl's close friends to help figure it out. Please tell me theae big bday parties end by the end of middle school.

If the kids have nearly everything they NEED something niche.
