Is this reasonable?? (PROM)

OP —

The bus is for eight hours which played a part in the price. Dinner is everything included (DC tax, tip, etc)

What restaurant asks the age when you make a reservation.

It's your teen's money, presumably he earned it so he should get to choose how to spend it.

I really hope this restaurant knows these 50 people are all teenagers and there’ll be no alcohol sales to be made. Come to think of it, that’s exactly why they’re charging so much per head.

Party busses are really surprisingly expensive. I also don't think they can fit 50. I bet this is for 2 busses.

We paid $100/head last year. Not my thing at all but I let my kid go and I paid.

Also, dinner at $75 is really reasonable. I'm one of the parents arranging a large grad party for and we're getting quotes of $50/head for a taco bar, no desserts or apps and soda only at a Clyde's level restaurant (so not high end). This is in DC.

Some posters on this thread clearly have not eaten out much recently. This is me too. It's shocking how expensive things are if you haven't been recently pricing things.

Sounds like a nightmare for the restaurant.

Yes, OP, these prices are outrageous.

No doubt a few queen bees appointed themselves to make all these decisions.

Can DC break off with a smaller group?
You aren’t the only parent questioning this.

Lol. Inn at Little Washington is way more than $75.
