I think you all forget how easy it is to be extremely careful these days with the internet. People don’t even use their real names. Nobody is going to someone’s work/home. Literally unless you knew the person before hand (work, personal life etc) no personal info is shared-ever. I think the people getting caught are people who are actually treating it like a real relationship-going out on dates and things.

If they are meeting over and over- they share names. They most certainly do. For very short term- sure—fake. But in these no-strings ongoing things they know real names. They even know kids’ names, spouses’s etc

I've been back on AShleyMadison in the past year and one thing that has changed from when I used it years ago is the amount of single women on there. It's like half the women are single.

Awful. Gold diggers. Not attractive enough to find a single guy. Such poor character to actively go for married men. But in middle age that's where the men with $$ are. It’s slim pickings for divorced middle aged women IRL, particularly for those not with good careers and nowhere to meet.

Let me give you a simple example. If DH says he is staying in the office longer today, DW's antennas will go up and she will start paying more and more attention to how often he suddenly stays in the office longer.

If DW says she is staying longer in the office today, DH won't think any of it he will just huff and puff that he may have to do more around the houses or drive kids to their activities etc. cheating won't even cross his radars.

Not defending “normal” cheating at all but it is infinitely worse when someone lies about their identity to do so IMO. Leaves the AP in a very compromised situation if there is an accidental pregnancy or any other type of financial burden (car crash for example).

Some people may enjoy the secrecy of AM and other online sites , but to me much of the thrill comes from adding romance and seduction to an interaction your normal everyday life, or meeting someone spontaneously like at the drug store or super market. Also feel like there is a real safety concern with both STDs and violence possible .
