Exactly this. I suspected my ex husband was cheating months before I gathered enough evidence to confront him. I notified the other woman’s husband and he had been completely clueless - literally had no idea anything was amiss.

Single women are more dangerous to a married guy because they have nothing to lose and will stalk him to leave his wife. Married women are much safer only for men because the men know she is going to be careful and busy and he can rat her out of she starts stalking him. A married guy doesn’t have to buy dinner or gifts or spend much time at all with a married woman cheater. He can blame she can’t accept these gifts or her husband will find out. He doesn’t have to pay for meals because she can’t be seen in public. If she has kids her time is limited. He doesn’t have to text or call except to set up sex because she’s got a family. Often he doesn’t even have to pay for a hotel. It’s a free prostitute for a guy in a way a single AP would not be.

Literally unless you knew the person before hand (work, personal life etc) no personal info is shared-ever. It’s not a prostitute if she is getting as much out of it as he is. It’s two people who have no good coping skills coming together either because they’re not thinking about consequences or because they have thought about it for a long time and found no other way to cope. The entire premise that women don’t enjoy and need sex to feel loved and connected is so wrong and misogynistic. She probably tried to connect to her own husband for years before stepping out and now she’s on a path of destruction but instead of looking at the situation realistically we are going to deny the fact that men have deep emotions and need to be “seen” and the fact that women need love WITH sex, and instead we are going to blame the woman in an affair (or marriage) for everything as usual.
