Who is better at covering their tracks when cheating? Men or women?

More to loose? How so? If married both men and women are going to walk away with 50% if divorce happens so I don't think either has more to lose.

Alimony stops after a couple years. Kids 18 and older so no child support. She lost the dream house and had to get a job after 20 years of staying home which being out of the market meant low pay remedial work. Now in a rental apartment once the McMansion got sold. Little if any retirement. Massive lifestyle change.

Wow, i spend a lot of time on DCUM and i rarely read something so on the nail. Not sure i've ever seen it stated so succinctly. No dog in the fight on the cheating thread, but the bolded is a very powerful, universal statement.

Ummm. There are a few exceptional liars on the women’s side too. Ex’s ap had like 4 long term affairs (and a bunch of hook ups) in a 20-year marriage until I caught my ex-husband. She would have kept going if I hadn’t contacted the spouse. He was blown away—totally clueless. She did have a lot to lose, never having worked so was meticulous and conniving on her end.

Men are dumb and sloppy; no attention to detail. Women pick up on the nuances and inconsistencies; they piece it together.

Absent serious mental illness, cheating women don't make the mistakes of cheating men. They also have to be a lot more thoughtful in all interactions with an AP, given that women can get pregnant, more easily contract STIs, need to ensure the AP is not prone to violence, etc.

Women without a doubt. Deception and lying comes naturally to women and the other women in their lives will all cover for them without question. I've seen it. Men are dumb and will brag to other men, or just show signs of undeserved happiness that their wives can easily pick up on.

These women fail to understand that they think married men are safer…but they are married to women who will find out and notify their husbands. It does not matter one bit how good they are at lying and deceiving and having zero character…there is another woman they have never met that holds the power to knock their world down.
