At what age do you stop inviting out of town family for your kids birthday parties?

Out of town family came for the parties at age 1, 2, and 3 because they were family and family friends (with associated kids) only. Age 4 they had gone to a few pre K kids only bday parties at play spaces, etc and wanted a friends bday party too. So we stopped. The out of town grandparents did ask about a month prior if we had made any birthday party plans, my husband explained that we were switching to kid friends parties this year, and they were like oh that makes sense. No drama.
