Do you actually have this choice?

BLC 2033. No question.

How much time are they giving people to respond to offers?

I’ve seen some clubs do a 24 hour turnaround. They send out invites and waitlist. Then you wait. How many teams are they creating? 2?

Assume there are two teams. But we haven’t heard anything — invite or waitlist or decline — so not sure what to make of it. I suppose we wait and see. Not hopeful though.

M&D and BLC both gave 48 hours.

What few BLC Blue offers went out for 2033 were likely identified well before the tryouts, so wouldn’t hold your breath on that as an option.

M&D shaping up as a very solid second option with improved coaching and organizational support plus strong 33 team with great talent. Hence the quick decision by many Orange players without the political clout to move up within BLC. Would expect a few more spots to be available and highly sought after in 2nd tryout Wednesday…

Are all the blue offers out now? Any idea how many were made?

NL 2033s are not really that strong. They had a soft NGLL schedule that made them look better than they are. They got beat pretty soundly whenever they played the top teams. They will either play in NGLL B next year or get crushed in A, unless they somehow get a lot better.

They had a small group of strong players, but not really enough to be good. I’ve heard some of their best players are moving to BLC Blue so they probably will be worse next year.

No argument that BLC Blue is cream of crop right now, but would guess that new offers were limited to 1-2 very targeted players. So I think the original question of NL / M&D vs. BLC is actually irrelevant for all but a select few.

As more girls start playing lax in 4th-6th, they can't all be on BLC Blue, so that should set up M&D nicely as a relatively strong local competitor, which is beneficial for both teams. Basically a much needed consolidation of 3 MoCo club teams to 2 with how subpar MCE has been...

Is M&D helping NL get better coaching?

Looks like M&D has been dropping coaches on Instagram which NL did not do in past, and 33 coaches are club co-director, Whitman assistant coach, and former HS coach / D1 strength and conditioning coach who appears to be new to the club.

Best way to find out seems to be to just attend Wednesday tryout and play, as poster above noted there are usually a couple spots still open due to player movement at this time of year …

Looks like they are just keeping the same coaches.
