Does anyone know when eligibility letters go in the mail for Fairfax County GT Centers?

I heard starting around April 22.

What is the deadline to appeal the decision?

Looks like June 1. Have you heard anything yet?

Thank you for the link -- the information is very helpful!

We have not heard anything yet but want to schedule a WISC-IV testing appointment in case we need to appeal.

Does anyone know what the WISC-IV minimum score or range is for GT consideration -- whether approximate, "official" or "unofficial?" Thank you.

I have heard that the "unofficial" minimum is a 130 FSIQ on the WISC.

Oh, also I would not wait to schedule a WISC appointment. The psychologists will be inundated as soon as the letters go out. We had psychoeducational testing done on my DD earlier this winter (not for GT but for other issues) and we had to wait several weeks.

We submitted our DC's testing results from 1st grade with the file (we also did testing for other issues, and not GT), but wanted to make a back-up appointment for testing just in case.

Ok, it's 4/24 and no letter in the mail. Does this mean my child didn't get into the GT program? I heard they do not send "rejection" letters so if you receive nothing that means you didn't get in.

We haven't gotten one yet either. Hopefully tomorrow. Checking on FCAG, it looks like last year they weren't received until May 1. Fingers crossed that they are just running late.

No letter here either. Hopefully soon. Our school has their GT Orientation on May 7, so before then....

No letter here, either. I'm guessing that letters will hit mailboxes on Monday/Tuesday since the latest the letters would go out would be Friday April 24.

What GT Centers are you all at? Anyone considering Local Level 4 at your base school instead of going to a GT Center?
