Do you think prosecutors take plea deals based solely on the word of the criminal making the plea? Or, now hear me out, do they take the word of the person taking the plea when there is corroburating evidence as well?

This is not regarding the specifics of the allegations about Gaetz - but I think it's so bizarre how GQP women personalize the accusations against their bro-ey men. They don't need to trust him. They'll be able to corroborate what he tells them with lots of texts, emails, and testimony from the girls. The cooperator is just going to tell them where to look and who to talk to. He will never be on a witness stand.

I seriously doubt any sane prosecutor would make a plea deal without corroborating the details of the info given and making sure they can get a prosecution based on the info gotten in exchange for the deal. Otherwise the deal is completely worthless.
