I would be very concerned if my friend was being accused of pedophilia by someone who has made false allegations against someone else for pedophilia, and is not facing serious charges, and is being offered leniency for offering up someone else

Do you think prosecutors take plea deals based solely on the word of the criminal making the plea? Or, now hear me out, do they take the word of the person taking the plea when there is corroburating evidence as well?[/quote]

I seriously doubt any sane prosecutor would make a plea deal without corroborating the details of the info given and making sure they can get a prosecution based on the info gotten in exchange for the deal.  Otherwise the deal is completely worthless.[/quote]
