Ah. That's nice of him. We have absolutely no idea which group we are in for this shutdown because the Trump appointees have no idea what they are doing and there have been no instructions on who is or is not essential. Most supervisors have already left for the holidays.

It looking more and more worth it to contact one of those recruiters who email me every month and move to the private sector. I enjoy serving my country but, it's not worth the "potential hardship" to work for a reality show toddler.

Ah, Merry Christmas to you too, conservative. How very Christian of you.

It's always better to have bored, incompetent, terrible government workers than committed ones, isn't it? /s

Of course, say most conservatives. The bored incompetent terrible ones take horrible treatment well, and don't ever plan to leave.

""Unlike more than 800,000 federal workers, Senators and Reps would still receive his pay on time. In past years, lawmakers in the Senate and the House have introduced “No Budget, No Pay" legislation, but it's never been brought to a vote...Imagine that!! #RulingClass"

So senators and representatives don't sign up to work hard, apparently.

If the government reopens on the 3rd, there will be no gaps in paychecks and it will be merely a long winter break, albeit unplanned and stressful.

If the shutdown goes longer than that, disrupted paychecks will be felt across the economy. This doesn't even touch on the contractors and service businesses that serve federal employees.

“Susan Collins almost dropped her handbag as she gestured disbelief at word, delivered to her by reporters, that Trump would not sign the continuing resolution unless border wall money was added.

“Did he just say that? Ugh, are you ruining my life?” she asked.”

There better not be money for a wall in the new budget. Americans don’t want it. There are so many other things that need money! Education. Healthcare. We have a HUGE deficit!! We don’t need a stupid wall. Trump supporters are the dumbest people on earth!
