I didn't bring up the analogy, the PP did it. Poor analogy really, but I went with it. As for what I would do with my sister, in my family we freely share health information and it is not cool to hide it, so a demand like that would be perfectly in line with what we have always done.

Re: Barbara Bush - of course people talked about her being in the hospital. Everyone knew she was going to die. It was a sad time, and everyone was well aware that those were her last days. This situation with Melania is completely different. As another PP said (one of the sane ones), perhaps doctors discovered something more serious when she was in surgery, and she isn't about to share that with the world. Nor should she. There are any number of plausible reasons why she isn't interested in sharing details of her health with people other than her family. Good for her. It's too bad there aren't more people with her quiet dignity and without the desire to share their every move with the world.
