Talk about not voting in your self interest.

It's rare, but some people look beyond what's in their own best interest and vote for what's best for the country. They're not always the same.

Well that isn't Trump, that's for sure.

And sure isn't Hillary. Look at the risk to national security she was willing to take by sending all emails unsecured.

So, when a liberal accuses Trump of caring about himself over the country (without giving an example), I can't point out how HRC does that very thing (and give an example)? Remember, the majority of people -including Democrats - think she did something wrong and should have been charged with a crime. Only the most partisan leftist want to sweep it under the rug.

I am naturalized citizen and I will vote for Trump!
Why do I need to pay taxes and illegals don't?
I've been living here long enough to love and respect this country. And this country gave me much more than mine (in Eastern Europe did).

That's why we need immigration reform! So that current illegals can pay into the system. They would and we would be a much richer country. Most people don't want to live here illegally. Jeez

Identified as Center Left prior to 2016 and voted for Obama. The vitriol, hatred, bias and hypocrisy of the Left has pushed me to Center Right. Which, incidentally, is also the stance of Donald Trump. I have lost all respect for The Washington Post which I view as nothing more than a garbage bin of the sort of quality as the National Enquirer.

I think abortions should be legal. I think the Far Right is nuts. I think Obama lost Hillary the election because of the horrendous way he's handled illegal immigration. I think racism is alive and well today but I despise BLM and the things that have come out of their member's mouths. And everywhere I see is Liberals piling on their moral sanctimoniousness while acting like a bunch of hateful fools themselves.

What vitriol, hatred and bias are you talking about? Honest question from another WOC, naturalized citizen, who was swayed the other way (from Republican/ Independent to Democrat) because of the vitriol, hatred and bias on the Right.

You haven't seen any? Really? Bias is easy - it was already listed for you. Washington Post is the glaringly obvious local example. Report facts, I got no problem with that. Report negative facts about the Right, no problem. Report negative facts ONLY about the Right, or a vast majority of the time about the Right, while wholly and obviously ignoring huge transgressions and awfulness about the Left, I have a problem. You want an example? When's the last time they reported anything about some of the stupid and hateful things that BLM has said/done? It's disgusting. And how about the media is directly responsible for those police officers being summarily executed? Yeah, that's right. It's THEIR FAULT. And if you disagree, you are wrong. The media stirred up this crap, and they got those cops killed. You see them do a self-analysis of this? Me neither. For shame.

Vitriol and hatred? Do you have any friends on the Left? The hypocrisy is nauseating. From my arm-chair activist aunt who doesn't work and whose husband made over $1.2 mil a year when he retired, to my loud and obnoxious gay "friend" in Boston who hates rich people and wants to just take (steal) money from the "rich" because "no one needs more than 1 million dollars, max" - they all Hate. It's just Hatred for certain groups of people whom society decides it's okay to hate.

Examples of BLM issues that enraged you so?

Open threats to law enforcement. Violence. Blocking traffic during work hours. Racism. Oh, and how about the inconvenient fact that most if not all of its "victims" were criminals and committed crimes that led to their deaths. Can't even say that these days without being called a racist, right?

Wow, this really hurts my soul. Those poor boys, Trayvon Martin and Tamir Rice, who were without blame. Sandra Bland. Philando Castile, the cafeteria worker a role model to hundreds of kids in his school, stopped by police 46 times in his brief life for DWB. As to other cases, I am so sad to think that another human being thinks people deserve to die for the crimes such as selling illegal CDs. Others brutalized by police for no reason, including women: Earledreka White, who was so terrified she called 911 during her arrest; the school teacher in Austin. I could go on and on.

Your anger at the media for exposing all this is really misplaced. BLM protest stopped traffic. But blaming them for the rest - not fair. No one in the BLM leadership made or condoned threats to law enforcement, violence or racism.

I voted for Obama twice. I love Obama. I don't want him to leave.

I'm voting for Trump.
I'm not telling anyone.

This is why Trump is going to get elected.

People won't admit it publicly but they'll vote for him.

I'm voting for him. Lesser of two evils and hopefully a one termer and we can get a moderate in office.

He is in no way qualified, nor is he "the lesser of two evils." You want a moderate Republican? Don't vote for any non-moderate Republicans this election.

I am an migrant and you are clueless about immigrants, especially illegals. We are not here to pay into your system, we are here to use your system.

Obama's actually deported more illegals than the two previous presidents, which has upset a couple immigration activists I know. Are you specifically upset about the Dream Act? How will the Donald handle things better? The chance of getting Mexico (or US Congress, for that matter) to build a wall are slim, but I haven't heard about his other plans. Does he have some?

Lies.

The chance of an illegal living in the US getting deported are close to zero, according to John Sandweg, the former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement

"Deportation" is no longer a word the govt even uses. They are called removals now, and can turning people away at the border.

I agree the polls could be skewed. That's because the liberals are almost abusive to those who won't support their candidate. I've had my neighbors stop speaking to me when I said I don't want to vote for HRC, and the name-calling, cursing, and insults on this forum when someone expresses a different opinion is astounding. It's like we're trying to be humiliated into silence by accusing us of ridiculous and untrue things.(Aside: Kirsten Power's book "Silenced" goes into how liberals suppress the voice of opposing opinions. Excellent read.)
