How about the upcoming U13 team? Did they find enough players where they aren't having U12 players play up?

Not with their rising U13 girls team, but I heard they had plenty of kids (18ish) already? I didn't hear numbers were a concern.

Also, as an unbiased observer, the track record of CW seems as good or better than any coach at ARL or VDA. FVU facilities not as good and college recruiting not as successful. Sounds like each of the three clubs can stake a claim to being the best depending on what criteria you use. What am I missing?

Fair summation of last year and the past influence of CW. However the past few years have been an administrative nightmare. Families gave them some leeway but after 2 years of poor management many families are moving on. The 13s will be good. 12s will take a small step back. 11s and up will take major steps back.

This is true, except I think 12s will get hit a little harder than anticipated.

12s will be fine. Only team that will compete with them is VDA.

That team is about to drop 50-60% of the goals scored with their losses to other teams. They won’t be hanging out with Wilmington but they also won’t be looking at playoffs next year.

You must have FVU confused with ARL

ARL lost their best player but the team didn’t need her to be successful. They won’t change much. FVU is going to have a very hard time without theirs.

So VDA got the best FVU players and best ARL players?

So VDA got the best FVU players and best ARL players?
Yes… kinda. I mean last year VDA got the “best players” and ……ended one under FVU at one age group. The older ages were already good. Younger teams were not. The girls that market themselves have the best chance of making it to VDA. Getting their play time and standing out is another story.

Players left. It was ugly. There were petitions from FVU against another good club where the girls went. Life went on. The season sucked and more giels will leave. And new girls will show up. The circle of life.

Yall lost two. One overseas and the other couldn’t say no to BP. It should be a change felt. Maybe not extreme but the change will be felt. If I eat my words ill be ok with it. Just will mean its the system and not the players.

ooooo so the defender is leaving? Regardless FVU has the coolest chillest sideline parents in DMV. Cant have it all but piece of mind and camaraderie counts. Did the player announce the departure yet? What are they waiting on.

I don’t think you are talking about the 2012 teams anymore. Isnt the overseas one from 2011?

Yeah people are mixing up the 12' and 11's. At some point someone commented on the 2012 FVU team and the 2011 Arl team and then it snowballed from there

I predict the FVU 12s will finish 3rd at best behind Arlington and VDA.

Charlotte is getting a playoff spot, and if Richmond gets their ringer back from the boys they can have something to say about it too.
