We are broken. We do not have enough doctors and yet Our own children get replaced

Our culture is broken.

This is not capitalism it’s a monopoly

Maybe our own children don't have as good an education or work ethic.

Did you ever try to think why?

Yes, because spoiled boomers raised horrible, lazy children that bulldoze and helicopter their kids, the education "standards' have been watered down so averyone has a 4.0 applying to college, the internet and video games have degraded exercising the parts of the brain used for critical thinking...I could go on.

Interesting. I’m a boomer. I have one child living overseas in an Asian country, loving it, and working hard. Another is degreed at a double-master’s level and has been promoted numerous times, is happy married, owns their own home, with a baby on the way. The third was laid off by a major tech company, but not before amassing a half a million in investments. My husband was also laid off in Jan by a tech company. Both of them are looking for jobs, but H1Bs are destroying the industry. We have land and money and are close to retirement age anyway. In the meantime, I think one of his apps could do really well in a niche industry and plan to approach companies with a package and see what happens.
I also run a business from home.

I hardly think “lazy” is in our vocabulary.

Sigh.....

Trump is raiding the treasury. He's the biggest bank robber of all time.

Your TĎS is kicking in. It's why you are lazy in thought. Every problem and solution to you involves one word: Trump.

Why do you have your head in the sand as to what is happening?

Trump is taking tribute on every transaction, he is selling pardons, when the federal government decides to sell a building, one of his cronies is buying it for pennies on the dollar and then flips it, giving trump a piece of the action. Every tariff "negotiation" was grift, selling oil confiscated from Venezeula by the US military, the proceeds end up in a private account in Qatar. Like seriously, this has all been reported.

Democrats forming NGOs to send tax payer money overseas and then siphon some of it back to the DNC?

Try to stay on subject, sweetie. Or better yet, ask the nice man in the white scrubs to take you outside for a walk.

LOL. So you're anti-H1B in the US, but perfectly fine with your DS working in Asia and taking a job away from a citizen. Never change DCUM!

Yes OP everything is extremely bad. No one is happy. Everything is out of control. Livelihoods have been taken away. People can’t get their foot in the door. Costs are exhirbitant. Congress doesn’t do anything to control this administration. SCOTUS gave everything away in terms of protecting our democracy. 2025 was the year the USA died. Do what you can to pack up and move somewhere else. It’s not getting any better. I fear the midterms. I fear everything in the US now.

I said it before and I'll say it again.

Get some of your assets out of the United States and out of US dollar denominated holdings.

No D or R can save you.

He’s hired at the same pay as natives there. H1Bs undercut Americans re: pay. That’s the problem with H1Bs. We import people to work cheaper.

This is a resolution passed at their June 2025 House of Delegates meeting.

Not for US citizens. For foreigners

That is why we are broken

foreigners are willing to go to podunk red areas and serve the communities there because "real Americans" want to be in cities. Without those foriegners getting AMA grants, most of the rural, red state hospitals would be operating without doctors.

Speak for yourself. I have put in a lot of time with my two children investing in their future and making sure that they perform in the top of a system that is light years behind other countries. This is why we do camps overseas so they can build culture, experience real life unscreened, and eat healthy food and breathe clean air. Also to get way ahead of peers. It worked! My eldest is doing senior research her freshman year in college and has a huge paid internship for the whole summer. Next summer, she will be studying abroad for a global physics program. I plan to do the same with my youngest. Our end game: transition like my parents out of this country.

America is broken.

where are the H1B apologists that claim H1B is about lack of skilled labor??

As anyone that has a brain knows, it is about cheap labor. Here is Iowa State, an institution dedicated to training our children, unable to train a business analyst???

and Democrats are suing the federal government to keep H-1B. because as the party of labor, they are dedicated to replacing our own workers with cheap temporary labor. (https://www.cnn.com/2025/12/12/politics/h-1b-visa-fee-lawsuit)

Iowa State University has posted a notice of intent to hire an H-1B Business Systems Analyst

Salary: $86,778

Nobody in Iowa was qualified for this job.

America is completely broken.

As part of the green card process, "PERM" jobs, companies have to claim they cannot find a US worker to fill the job. So what they do is advertise in places no one looks.

Starbucks is the latest company that has created a separate, off-website career page just for PERM jobs

making sure they aren't searchable by job seekers on their normal website

Only 1 job listed on this site right now

Starbucks- why do you avoid hiring Americans?
