Early Predictions 2028: AOC, Whitmer, Newsome or …?

This would appeal to everyone.

- Someone who will woo back the union vote, while also protecting trans kids.

- Someone who will keep the price of eggs low, plus raise the tax rate on millionaires and billionaires to make them pay their fair share.

- Someone who will finally provide universal child-care for working moms, but also fully restore Obamacare and take it all the way to universal healthcare.

- Someone who will make the border safe again for asylum seekers instead of ripping away rights a throwing people to Mexico or worse!

- someone who will finally start a serious conversation on full reparations.

But who can unite the party like that?

Wow. Are you really that out of touch?

I'm a moderate and I like butigieg. Crazy, I know

I would love to see him debate Vance but he has no chance. America is not ready to have a first husband and black-ish adopted babies.

You think THOSE are the issues people have with him?? 🤦‍♀️

No Democrat ever even ran against her. Sanders was an old independent senator with no name recognition and even he ate her lunch so much so the DNC had a civil war during the convention with Bernie supporters fighting against the nomination.

We’ve never recovered

They got too comfortable based off of Obama’s popularity despite the fact that none of them are as good of politicians as he is. Obama’s popularity was so strong that it pushed Biden forward in his election. I remember that 2020 election, and plenty of people voted for Biden solely to “get back to normal” aka the Obama era.

Biden rode Obamas coattails for sure and that can be okay if a VP is 20 years younger than the POTUS. As it is, we got stuck with the second worst POTUS ever who cleared a path for the worst ever POTUS to easily win a second term.

God help us.

This is as bad as electing Trump. Ugh. I'm a liberal but AOC and her ilk are nuts. I love Bernie in theory but no, his vision destroys the US as we know it. I don't think IS does much right but you gotta take a country pimples and all so to speak. If you change the character and traditions, you change the culture and it's no longer the same country. At all.

As crazy as T admin and GOP are, going the other extreme is the same place. Moderation is what we really need but unfortunately, not sure where to find a leader like that.

The prob is that extremes benefit each other. It's reactionary and popular to rage v an idea going the opposite way. But that's not the answer which is to keep even keeled.

Wanting to "take back" what T took is not a good mentality. Reversing everything he did is not the answer. You want a leader with a mind of their own who makes decisions that are right on their own merits. Not because GOP or Dems do something. You do what makes sense. Be moderate. Keep things stable. Don't offend the right or left. Politics is the art of finding win-win solutions. Peace is arrived at all being calm and satisfied. We're in this nightmare of Trump leading exactly because things tilted one way and put forth an anger in Americans that couldn't see what a nut job Trump is! Don't make the same mistake of finding a crazy Dem!!!

1000% I wish more people could understand this. We need to get off the merry go round.

I mean you must not be a POC because people hate minorities. Trump’s main draw for a lot of people is a war on brown people and he’s rode that all the way to the WH. Plus a large minority of the country doesn’t even support gay marriage. I think there are legit criticism one could make about him about his record of success but that won’t be why many Americans won’t support him.

The Dems are eager to lose in 2028 if any post menopause shrill in royal blue blazer or black leather jacket is on the ticket.

How disgustingly misogynistic of you, PP. screw you!!

Nah B. Almost everything he did needs to be reversed. What is something he’s done worth keeping?

He doesn’t have a chance.
First he was horrible in his role as transportation secretary. Second, he has the Biden stench all over him. Anyone from the last administration is out. They are not honest and cannot be trusted.

Anyone with a direct role in the Biden administration probably needs to stay away.

You must be a suburbanite. My POC neighbors were not happy with either party. What has been a common complaint is that they feel they are just a vote to the Democrats. They don't like Trump, but at least he was more honest about where they stood with him. One of these parties needs to die soon, then the other needs to also go the way of the dodo, so we can start afresh. No more of this well at least we're not as bad as THAT guy. We're still bad (and we know it, and do the same sh!t, just not as much), so vote for us -- and don't you dare question us!!!

Most everyday Americans aren’t far right or far left. I know third parties can’t get off the ground but I wish we had a genuine centrist party. I’m over the nonsense.

I agree 100% but the money that has spoiled our current two parties rotten will just follow the momentum to any new viable political movement. The influence of money in politics is our greatest threat to adequate function in Federal Government.

Build a good ideology around good policy. Not the other way around.

Use common sense.
