Israeli war crimes

Israel bombed the catholic church in Gaza today. The priest, who was a friend of Pope Francis and would speak to him every night, was also injured in the attack.

The Hamas Covenant explicitly calls for genocide, but their actions are not genocide, "guys"! Congrats, Hamas, you didn't win, will never win, but will take thousands of non-Hamas Palestinians with you on your path to self-destruction.

Too much focus on the response to what Hamas started and refuses to stop; focus on Hamas' intransigence and their role in all this.

This thread is about Israeli war crimes. Stop trying to obfuscate. Nothing Hamas has done can justify what Israel is doing. Both can be wrong.

So enlighten us. What would have been an appropriate Israeli response to Oct 7 and to the continued holding of hostages? Kill, rape and kidnap the exact same # of Palestinians, and also refuse to let those kidnaped go?

Or maybe try to eliminate the people who committed, and who continue to commit, those atrocities, who also have the power to put an end to the violence but choose not to? Remind us again why hostages are still being held, and what Israel should be doing to free them? Just ask nicely?

Like I said, this thread is about Israeli war crimes, not Hamas. Nothing Hamas has done justifies war crimes. Stop trying to obfuscate.

Stop trying to pretend the results of a war started by Hamas are not exclusively attributable to a war started by Hamas, which refuses to end it, still holds hostages, and apparently delights in the results of Israeli retribution. Focusing on the Israeli response to attempted genocide by Hamas is deflection of responsibility at its best.

Israel has a goal of claiming more territory. They are accomplishing their goal in the aftermath of October 7. Morality has nothing to do with the power politics we are witnessing in the Middle East.

So how much land do they want in order for there to be peace?

They meddle in US politics and affairs, demand rights to bomb neighboring countries and would love for the US to be engaged in a war there somewhere

This is what most of Israel wants and this is what most American Jews want. I keep seeing "we support Israel" banners at all the synagogues around town.

The country is more than its current head.

You can support America and detest Trump.

Difference is Netanyahu shares and embodies the genocidal views of the majority of the population.

True that globalists support depopulation.

It seems inevitable that Zionists will eventually pay a very, very painful price for the policies and actions of the State of Israel.

I know they feel invincible at the moment, but the hubris, the immorality, the callous disregard for others, and the caterwauling about their own supposed existential fears (while indiscriminately murdering tens of thousands of actual innocent non-combatants) will lead to a terrible reckoning, I think.

Just another day in Gaza…

I'm surprised that Israel hasn't executed any false flag operations to help divert attention away from their war crimes.

It sucks to be on the losing side, eh? Too bad Hamas' genius war planners and strategic thinkers didn't consider that possibility before Oct. 7. Or maybe they did, and just don't care how many Palestinians would die in the aftermath of their field day raping, murdering, and kidnapping innocents at a music festival and living inoffensively and peacefully in nearby kibbutzim. The latter seems far more likely, since Hamas is still holding hostages despite the carnage their obduracy entails.

I’m sure that’s currently in the works.

No reason to do this, since it's obvious that any successful military activity in the region is attributable to Israel, and not to any of the hapless terror groups.

The "reckoning" is what is befalling the Palestinians who supported Hamas. The hubris, the immorality, and callous disregard for others, and caterwauling are all behaviors of Hamas and its supporters. The murder, rapes and kidnappings of Israelis on Oct 7 is what has led to this. Put the blame where it belongs - on Hamas, and all those who supported that group when they thought they'd somehow achieve something positive through terror. What they achieved was an opportunity to understand what "never again" means to Israel. A hard lesson, but one Gaza asked for. If they've learned from it, Hamas could end the losses among "actual innocent non-combatants", even if they raised, supported, and encouraged their Hamas family members - just release the Israeli hostages and surrender. Oh, no, can't do that - it would be too much like asking for peace instead of abegging for continued violence to be visited upon all those Palestinians who previously were fine with Hamas as their government.

Moments of reckoning for others are separate issues, unrelated to the previous observation. Back to the point …

When the Zionist movement is being taken behind the barn, I doubt the squealing and the emptiness of the “never again” threat will matter.
