That’s all. Hate that Kelly Corrigan went there. Now I think differently about her. Hate that I judge it but I do.

Says more about you than it does about her.

P.S. Sorry your kid didn't get in.

Super annoying someone keeps saying this, but maybe it’s a snotty Richmond thing? To be clear, half this board has in state VA options and can get Richmond quality or much better (JUMU, GMU, VT, WM, UVA) at a fraction of the cost. DCUM just isn’t Richmond’s target demographic. Go try NYNJUM.

JMU and GMU are "Richmond quality or much better"? Good one! I'll tip my waiter.

Not sure what constitutes “Richmond quality” (Christopher Newport, maybe) but this sure feels like an insult to JMU and GMU.

In this national ranking, which, irrespective of its flaws, seems to offer a fairly conventional perspective, Richmond places more highly than W&M overall and by selectivity:

Wallethub? Really?

For those interested, the site uses fairly conventional analytics, as might be inferred by the positions of certain schools in its various rankings. For example, Caltech places first in Selectivity Rank, MIT second, etc.

You must be TT.

The top quartile at JMU and GMU is less accomplished than the bottom quartile at Richmond.

Same here. I’ve worked in DC Big Law for 25 years. I can’t remember ever working with someone who went to Richmond. I would send my kids there.

The entire school comes from New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Jersey Shore U.

It is kind of funny because the area it’s in—directly nextdoor to the Country Club of Virginia—is so quintessentially old money Virginia. They don’t generally take kind to Yanks.
