Yeah, the resale tickets are waaaay more than my family can justify to take our tween. Over 1k each in most cases or close to it and travel expenses on top. Just not comfortable with that type of spending. I also hope we can get some tickets at normal prices. |
Well that’s a choice. No one is entitled tickets. |
First we didn’t pay close to $10k for 2 tickets. Have you seen that there are floor tickets for $400 available this week in LA? Second, it’s all supply and demand. There was way too much demand for the supply so your choice is to either complain about not being able to buy a ticket through Ticketmaster or figure out another way to go. This isn’t like a roof over your head or food and water. It’s a freaking concert. |
You were called out and apparently didn't like it, |
Called out for what? Paying extra to take my teen to the best concert we’ve ever been to? Hell yeah I did that! |
LOL where are these mystical $400 floor seats selling, Miss Piggy? |
There are networks of Swifties on Twitter and Facebook doing face value ticket exchanges. People who really, really, want to go and willing to hustle will make it happen. The people who just kind of want to go and aren't willing to do more than a simple online purchase need to quit whining. This isn't a normal event, it requires more than normal effort. |
I meant to include this link about Swiftie exchanges https://www.nytimes.com/2023/03/16/arts/music/taylor-swift-eras-tour-tickets-fans.html |
OK, so you can't back up the $400 floor seats claim. OINK. |
We registered for two Toronto nights. Figured I should book hotel just in case and all Hilton brand hotels already sold out for Swift’s dates as of the day after her announcement. |
Daughter's going to tonight's concert in LA. Sounds crazy to me but she's going with her friends. Somehow they all got the tickets. I told her to just sell the ticket but she said no. |
Did you try to book online? |
Yes. Toronto, Niagara Falls, Buffal hotels all booked. By reseller sites no doubt. |
That's bonkers. Hopefully rooms will open after the ticket drop. I can see people reserving all the locations for which they entered the lottery. We always do that for our sports tournaments until we have a schedule and then can release rooms. All of Miami looks booked, too. |
The rooms are not open yet!
I have status at several hotels and they are not booking for October 2024 yet. |
