Biden strikes out with King Manchin

I see what this is, libs.

According to you, West Virginians are too dumb to be represented according to their views, but we need “voting rights” legislation so illegals and fraudsters can vote easily (which is pro-Democratic Party).

We see what you are doing here. That’s going to fail too. We aren’t nearly as stupid as you think.

I can’t wait.

Democracy comes with responsibility and people similar to those in WV cannot handle the it.

LMAO Are you even American?

You literally just reiterated a system of governance that sparked off the Boston Tea Party and the Declaration of Independence.

Got to love to self-important UMC urban dwellers who think they are owed thousands in free money every month and will take away your power to participate in democracy if they don't get it.

No. They shouldn't. But. The rest of us should stop giving them so many handouts and so much pork because they don't reciprocate.

You really think climate change is popular in WV? I have a bridge to sell you!

Dems just can’t imagine WHY what they think will fix WV isn’t popular in WV. At least Obama was honest, he flat out said he didn’t care about the state.

But Biden was his VP, and we have long memories here in the mountain state.

I love how no one has brought up that Manchin offered a $1.8B counteroffer with - 10-year funded Pre-K, Climate, and subsidized ACA.

The White House didn't agree to it, therefore the BBB was dead. End of.

Maybe the White House should have been working through the night lining up support in both chambers of Congress instead of sniping via surrogates on national TV?

Manchin’s private proposal to the White House — the details of which have not been previously reported — was made just days before a spectacular public collapse in negotiations between the White House and the senator, marked by bitter and personal recriminations that left the status of the talks unclear.

The White House was weighing how to respond to Manchin’s proposal last week when on Sunday he told Fox News that he would be unable to support the current version of Democrats’ Build Back Better agenda.

Wait a second there skippy. What we have now is a system of government where the majority’s voice does not count. Seriously 290k voters in WVa can hijack and hold for ransom the rest of the country. It’s not a workable system. We do need to totally scrap the system in place. The Tyranny of the Minority must end.

Its the system the Founding Fathers set up when Boston had a population of 15,000 and West Virginia wasn't even formed for another hundred years. You think they didn't imagine this? What's more - you think the red state voters give a damned what you want? Get your head out of your ass.

As per the above "The White House was weighing how to respond to Manchin’s proposal last week when on Sunday he told Fox News that he would be unable to support the current version of Democrats’ Build Back Better agenda."

So he undercut it by going on tv and saying he would not support the bill.

Because he's so thin-skinned and sensitive he cares about what a singer / actress says about him? That's what will make him dig in his heels? Wow. Definitely doesn't say much for his character if that is what he reacts to, instead of thinking about things that help his state.

I am going to believe Manchin over the WH or machine. Manchin gets what people think of his state including the horrible comments on this thread. Thank you Senator Manchin for putting your state over all the cocktail parties you will not be invited to by standing your ground.

This is the biggest BS response. Remember, there are at least 51 Senators opposed to this ridiculous bill. That is a hell of a lot more than 290K votes.
You all seem to keep forgetting that fact.
