Okay, I remember in the mid/late 80s NBC's Thursday night lineup went like this:
8:00 - The Cosby Show 8:30 - Family Ties 9:00 - Cheers 9:30 - Night Court In my view, that can never be topped. All those sitcoms were absolute classics, and at their creative peak as well. Anyone else care to challenge this? Does any other network lineup compare? |
| Uh, given the latest revelations about Bill Cosby I can never think of that show in a positive light so I'm going to skip this one. |
|
Saturday 1976-77
9 - Mary Tyler Moors 9:30 - Bob Newhart 10:00 - Carol Burnett |
While I understand this sentiment (I have stopped watching cosby reruns with my kiddo), I agree with OP. I loved all of those shows. I haven't seen night court on TV in a long, long time, though. That was one of my faves to watch in rerun. |
Was All in the Family and The Jeffersons the same night at 8 and 8:30. They were all CBS. I loved them all. At some point, wasn't Rhoda on after Mary Tyler Moore? |
| No way, wasn't it Monday nights with the Fresh Prince and Blossom? |
Followed by LA Law! |
Swap out Family Ties for A Different World for me. I LOVED that show! |
I agree. When I saw the title of the thread, and before I clicked on it, this was the lineup I came up with. |
|
Going way back to -- 1969 maybe?
Thursday nights: The Flying Nun (Sally Field) Bewitched (Elizabeth Montgomery) That Girl (Marlo Thomas) |
|
1995-96 on ABC:
Family Matters Boy Meets World Step by Step Hangin' with Mr Cooper |
|
Seinfeld>Friends
Pretty solid decade of humor right there. |
And ER after. |
| Are you guys Googling this or do you remember nights/order of the lineups? I'm 50 and loved most of these shows, but I have no clue when they were on. |
| Love Boat, Fantasy Island. |
