I know a mom in my friend circle who had an intense fixation on a very young movie star. She went to therapy to sort it out. It was interfering with her entire life. She did resolve it. I would go to therapy. Apparently it's a real thing and even though it seems dumb, it can take over your life. It is probably about things you are missing in real life that you need to get a different way.
