| I have heard many success stories. When I have tried it I always get impatient and blow it. I need to lose about 15-20 lbs (157 and 5"7). I can't tolerate eggs so whenever I have tried low carb it's hard. |

Absolutely works if you really follow the plan. Actually weigh/measure your portions. Drink lots of water.
Also, works best if you don't eat your earned activity points and you limit your use of the bonus weekly points. The plan seems to not work for people who, once they have finished losing their weight, revert completely to old habits. The weight comes back. |
My aunt swears by it but I have never been interested. I like Jenny Craig because there was no need to think about meal planning and counting points, etc. |

I lost 39 lbs on it. It worked for me. You have to stick to it and be truthful when you track.
It also helped me learn about portion size. I think it is great. |
We knew someone who did not eat activity or weekly points. She then ended up blowing the whole thing, and not losing weight. I think the whole point of WW is that is NOT meant to be spartan - it is meant to be sustainable (and, as you say, a habit to keep when you are on maintenance) So you should eat the weeklies and the activity points if you are hungry for them - but try to eat your filling foods first, so you are less likely to be hungry for them. |
The last 20 lbs are the hardest - but is that not true with any approach? |

It worked for me, lost 30lbs...but it only worked when I ate all the weekly points and all the exercise points...and if I measured carbs (like pasta) and liquid calories (so I actually poured wine into a cup measurer...) but I had to eat everything I burned otherwise,I didn't lose! |
| Worked for me. Lost a pound a week, 20 pounds total. But you have to be scrupulously honest. |

I think it the only "diet" program out there that focuses on eating real food, in real time, and the really messy emotions and relationships people can have with food.
It helped me lose 40 pounds after my first baby. At the time, there was the CORE option which was non processed foods but it sounds like that may have changed. |
| I did great on it when I wasn't on a med that messes with my metabolism. It worked then. I have tried twice since then with no success. So I think it depends on a lo of factors. |
