South Africa is a failed state. Deeply corrupt. Pro-Russian. They should probably spend their energy on providing electricity and a decent eduction to their people.

And I love South Africa. Beautiful country. Good people. But the ANC is ruining the country. Not at all surprised they'd do a high profile thing like this instead of actually working for the betterment of South Africans.

It's a domestic distraction from the ANC's failures as a government. Shouldn't be taken seriously. The ANC is not exactly the allied powers at the Nuremberg Trials. Every single minister in the ANC would be in prison in a country that actually valued law and order.

Just curious, are you the Palestinians are the stupidest people ever poster?

Amazing how they consider Palestinian kids adults.

Ruqaya Ahmad Odeh Jahalin, four, was shot in the back by Israeli forces around 5:30 p.m. on January 7 while sitting in the backseat of a shared taxi van near an Israeli military checkpoint near the Palestinian village of Beit Iksa, northwest of Jerusalem in the central occupied West Bank, according to documentation collected by Defense for Children International - Palestine. After Ruqaya and her mother drove through the checkpoint, a car driving about 40 meters (131 feet) behind them did not stop for inspection by Israeli forces. Israeli forces opened fire on both vehicles, striking Ruqaya in the back. An Israeli military ambulance transported Ruqaya and her mother to the checkpoint, where Ruqaya’s father met them. Israeli forces interrogated Ruqaya’s father before allowing him to leave without releasing Ruqaya’s body.

Why are Palestinians trying to crash military checkpoints? And aren't people aware that bullets are messy things, they can bounce, they can penetrate through one object and continue travel to another, and so on. Attempting to ram your way through a military checkpoint puts everyone at risk. It would be sheer insanity to assume nobody would get hurt from such an act.

The four year old? Didn’t crash a military checkpoint. The driver of her vehicle? Didn’t crash a military checkpoint.

The IDF killed a child for the crime of being Palestinian. And you defended it. Two fascinating levels of dehumanization on display.

A lunatic next to them did tried to crash the military checkpoint, and that person is who put the child in that risk. And again, you seem completely oblivious to realities as they unfold on the ground. You seem incredibly naive about the world.

Do you realize you make no sense. The person whose finger is in the trigger is the one who kills.

Technically, of course.

Morally and legally? It depends. Felony murder doctrine, for example.

Felony murder doctrine in this case would implicate the IDF. They were already engaged in an occupation deemed illegal https://www.ohchr.org/sites/default/files/documents/hrbodies/hrcouncil/coiopt/2022-10-19/Report-COI-OPT-14Sept2022-EN.pdf when they shot a child who had, incidentally, not committed any crime.

I’m sure the IDF will “investigate”

The international community must ostracize Israel and, if it continues to support Israel, the United States.

Israel is doing incalculable damage to America’s global standing.

America’s global standing is not affected in any material way by its support for Israel.

Get serious.

Our global standing is actually negatively affected by our unbiased support for Israel.

My. Fancy that

I'm old enough to know the US's global standing is negatively affected no matter what we do. Many countries including the dogmatic Arab countries think the US is nutters for endorsing and promoting LGBTA rights, for example.

Coming to the stage, y’all, it’s the ever-present nutters shrew! Woo!

Would you believe that there are two of us?

Glorious word. Evocative, precise, and oh-so-apt.

Doubt the universe is ready for two of you, but DID is an actual disorder, so …

As to your point, the argument that the U.S. will be criticized or disliked by others no matter what we do is utter bullshit that’s easy to see through. That argument has been misused for decades now by Zionists to take attention away from the actual consequences of our support of Israel and the blank check we provide that enables Israel to terrorize and bully its neighbors.

After the 9/11 attacks occurred, the perpetrators told us in very, very, very explicit terms that the attacks were planned and executed in direct response to our support of Israel and its sustained, horrific mistreatment of indigenous Palestinians in the Middle East. The message was clear: we were attacked because of the devastating damage to regional stability and human rights that the U.S. has enabled Israel to author without consequence.

In response, the Zionist propaganda campaign sprung to life and distorted what was actually said into “They hate our Western values and way of life!” … and tens of millions of Americans still eat at that poisoned trough today.

Save that nonsense that our actions have no consequence for someone else.

Wow.

The fact that another supposedly sentient human being could read those FACTS, and still muster the "Wow, shocked and dismayed" act is pretty hilarious - as if they actually have a basis for believing what they just read is untrue, rather than their dissonance simply being a byproduct of their tribal allegiance. Instead, they continue to believe nonsense. But again, facts are facts (for sane people, anyway):

1. The United States and Americans are criticized and disliked by many in the Middle East (and elsewhere, as evidenced by U.N. votes) for our support of Israel's actions, not because "they hate Western values and our way of life" or for any other reason;

2. Zionists consistently manipulate American foreign policy (through lobbying, primarily) to do the heavy lifting for Israel, regardless the cost to U.S. standing on the global stage, and consistently seek to also manipulate public opinion around Middle East policy;

3. The perpetrators of 9/11 explicitly blamed the failed U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East for their attacks, specifically its blind, unconditional bankrolling of Israel and interference at the U.N. Repeatedly - they repeatedly cited this, and the only people playing the "Western values" con were Zionists and Neocons aligned with the Zionist community.

4. Tens of millions of Americas fell for the con, and continue to.

You can clutch your pearls and proclaim shock and dismay all you like, but it's just an inanimate mountain of facts staring down at you.

But accepting your argument for a moment, OBL wanted to incite revolution throughout the ME.

DP Supporting Israel cause and increases terrorism. When the US cuts ties and stops propping up Israel, the ME will stabilize. The US can finally reapproach Irans and bring stability to the region in the world.

Wow. Extra delusional. Just every bit of this. Especially the suggestion that the Iran could ever be a force for stability!!! OMFG.

Right.

Because ending US support for Israel would totally resolve the Sunni/Shiite conflict, plus all the clan/tribal/family issues, plus your garden variety clashes over money, power and territory.

You don't give AF about anything other than unconditionally defending Israel and preserving the status quo, so save the distractions, pal.

The U.S. shouldn't support Israel because it's an apartheid state run by a corrupt war criminal, and because actions have consequences. If the U.S. supports the actions of a scumbag like Bibi and his cronies, don't feign shock when others tell you to your face that they have a problem with it, act on it, and then remind you that they acted on it because they have a problem with it. That's exactly what occurred with 9/11.

The outcome here is pretty much a given, I'd say, and entirely meaningless.

Provisional measures are roughly the equivalent of a TRO. Not a ruling on the merits.

It's the international community saying "hey guys, cut it out and get along, wontcha?"

If that were true, Israel wouldn't be attending and mounting a counter -arguement, Satanyahu wouldn't be frothing at the mouth

Certainly, the Israeli delegate seems to be taking the proof against the R wing fascist Likud zealots pretty hard in this moment of the hearing: 1:58-2:02

It’s a PR/propaganda issue.

In terms of legal/practical implications, it’s meaningless.

You’re familiar with provisional measures, right?

Just scream STATUS QUO - NOTHING CHANGES OR ELSE! at the top of your goddamned lungs at this point. There's no critical analysis going on with you and everyone else desperately clinging onto the dream of keeping Israel safely beyond reproach, the kind of accountability that all nations should be held to. Your motivation is painfully obvious, and anyone can see that Yahweh himself descending from heaven and castigating you for your failed morality wouldn't even dent your true believer hypnosis at this point.

You're bought in, fully invested in the tribal propaganda. Just don't expect others to abandon reality ...

As is quite evident from the fact that you’re using OBL as justification for your position.

It’s beyond silly.

So your argument is that the US shouldn’t support Israel bc Islamic terrorists?

Snort.

But accepting your argument for a moment, OBL wanted to incite revolution throughout the ME.

So the US should stop providing arms and support to all ME countries too, right?

Only OBL—approved global interactions for the US henceforth!

FFS. 🤦

You’ve gone fully mental.

You literally claimed that ending support for Israel would solve the ME’s problems.

And you accuse me of abandoning reality?

That’s truly awesome. Thank you.

1. The United States and Americans are criticized and disliked by many in the Middle East (and elsewhere, as evidenced by U.N. votes) for our support of Israel's actions, not because "they hate Western values and our way of life" or for any other reason;

2. Zionists consistently manipulate American foreign policy (through lobbying, primarily) to do the heavy lifting for Israel, regardless the cost to U.S. standing on the global stage, and consistently seek to also manipulate public opinion around Middle East policy;

+1 million.

“The war does what it does,” he said.

This is where you stop pretending it didn't happen. Even if Al-Quds network carried it.

Not pretending anything. The Israeli far right is despicable.

As is QNN.

Right....because the government minister who wants to torture people until they want to leave, and a TV network that reports his comments are, like, totally comparable.

Yes, that's exactly what I said.

Care to share bin Laden's letter next?

Or perhaps some Chinese government statements on the glorious "re-education" of the Uighurs?

So...you think this comments ought not be reported?

Or you simply dislike the fact they were reported by the people you dislike?

Have they lied?

I don't think that people should spread terrorist propaganda. (Of course they've lied).

There's a term for people like that: terrorist sympathizers.

I think that people SHOULD discuss news from reputable sources, including the abominable comments by some members of the Israeli government.

Point out their lies in the coverage of the minister's speech, thanks.

Zero percent chance I'm visiting QNN website.

Why? Because I don't support terrorists.

But if you'd like to review their (abysmal) credibility rating, you can do so at the link below. Bottom line: they lie.

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/quds-news-network-bias-and-credibility/

Of course you support terrorists! Israel was built on the back of a fully documented, accredited, and very active terrorist movement - Zionism!

Get real - Israel and its founders have been the author of more terrorism over the past 100 years than any nation or group. You can’t run from those facts, though I’m certain you will try to distort the facts, or engage in ad hominem attacks, or launch into some other kind of propaganda screed to try to convince others (yourself, too?) that Israel has actually been nothing worse than a ray of perfect sunshine surrounded by sub-human barbarians committed to opposing their actions in the region for completely unknown reasons.

Huh. I wouldn’t say any of those things.

Looks like you’re wrong again.

Care to share your link to the Al Aqsa fangurl page next?

No, but I hope and pray you'll reciprocate by withholding your Wailing Wall Zaftigs link. Please keep that to yourself. <<shuddering>>

I’m actually a centrist on the Israel/Palestine issue.

But your argument about US interests is ludicrous on its face.

Rather than make a sensible argument or assessing the facts, you’re frothing.

As is quite evident from the fact that you’re using OBL as justification for your position.

It’s beyond silly.

"Centrist" ... sure, Jan.

"Centrist" ... sure, Jan.

Splendid.

My position is shared by the vast majority of the US population, and is rejected by both the far left and the far right.

I am literally the definition of a centrist on this issue.

You?

OMFG.

Iran is a 5,000 year old civilization and, despite Israel's repeated attempts to provoke them into attacking IDF ( to give them a pretext to bomb Iran), they are showing restraint. Albeit, they have outed the USA for their behind the scenes statements to them that " the USA wants no war with Iran and wants no escalation"

In contrast, Israel was formed only about 80 years ago and in those 80 years has started multiple wars, brutalized their Palestinian cousins and forced their displacement , bombed Lebanon to such an extent that it created the conditions of decades of instability, created spyware that has destroyed the foundations of privacy, freedom of speech, diplomacy in the world and is now, in just 80 years since it's founding, committing Genocide.

Israel and the USA's unilateral support of its aggression towards ALL of it's neighbor's is the cause of Middle East instability, not Iran.

Further, the Ayatollahs and the Iranian mullah's in general were the CIA's choice to overthrow the elected government of the Iranian people under Mosadegh
