Why wouldn't recruiters matter? Sounds like they'd be needed more than ever for talent evaluation of youth levels.

Recruiting would still occur but it would be different. It would be less about recruiting from s specific graduating year and more about recruiting based exclusively on performance. Put another way recruitment would look like how MLS Next Acadamies function. Which includes pro and college recruiting vs just for college the way things gunction now for girls. Also who recruiters work for would change from colleges to US Soccer.

If you dig in, they are 2 separate entities. And before you had the MLS academy and this youth club where its top teams were MLSN. They are now ECNL.

actually they have been laughable...taking every club program with a pulse has severely diluted the small talent that was already there. thus the huge drop off in D1 college coaches attending their events

NCAA is discussing changes with US Soccer. If US Soccer gets control over college soccer who do you think they'll support?
