No, you misread his post. BE admitted he requested the original FOIA request for Mary’s emails. |
They have never allowed clapping, as you’d know if you ever paid attention before now. |
FOIAs
#1 - JB (APE) requested MK’s email messages #2 - unknown requested source of #1 #3 - BE (SR) requested source of #2, didn’t pay because report already created JB made informal inquiry about #2/#3 - undocumented |
Go back and read. There was no charge for BE’s FOIA because the document BE requested (JB’s request) was so recent they didn’t need to search for it. Here is the test of the FOIA request by BE (which is a public document), which BE has shared: Dear APS: I request a copy of all FOIA requests submitted to Arlington Public Schools in March and April 2021 seeking copies of emails from Mary Kadera to the APS School Board. To be clear, I am not seeking copies of Ms. Kadera’s emails. I am only requesting copies of all FOIA requests in March and April 2021 seeking hose communications. Regards, [BE] |
And here was the response from APS (which again, is a public document): Dear [BE], This is in response to your request for records under the provisions of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act received on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. We have received one request that meets the description. I am attaching a copy of the email. This was recently received so easily located, so there is no charge to provide this. Sincerely, Linda M. Erdos APS FOIA Officer Arlington Public Schools foia@apsva.us |
Ugh, yes, my bad. I read it that someone else had already requested recently and that’s why it was free. I apologize for my misunderstanding. |
I don't blame the teachers at this point. I blame Duran and the SB. Teachers are living this hell now too. |
I’m so confused by the speakers representing Latinos at the SB meeting. Can’t they just stay virtual? Are they not aware of local vaccination rates and plummeting cases. Like what in the actual F? I was one of the folks in the sidelines waiting for teachers to be vaxxed. But I don’t get it anymore. Is Arlington the SF of the East coast? This is insanity. |
Don't kid yourself. There are teachers who are handling this very poorly. My 7 yo has a teacher who routinely tells her class that she doesn't want to be teaching in person and that she thinks parents are being mean to teachers by sending their kids back to hybrid. She's burst into tears in front of a class of 7 yos on several occasions. And she refuses to let the kids use paper or library books in the classroom because it's "too risky." Only Seesaw/iPad is allowed. It's not good. |
Wrong there is no “unknown”. A FOIA was done by JB, then BE FOIA’d that then JB requested to know who FOIA’d his foia bc they posted screen shots to Twitter under apes*&t. You are adding a step. There is no unknown. Only person who requested was BE. So Troll is either BE, an APS employee who is going to get fired or BE gave the screen shot to the troll whose only Followers and likes of the post is CO2 monitor gal and another troll account who goes after open schools groups. I don’t think JB is in APE but what do I know. Le fin |
How about simply looking at what a thousand school districts across the country have been successfully doing for the past 6 months and ...do that. |
And her thoughts are wrong. My six year could put a lot of thought and detail into returning to school, too. Effort doesn’t make the outcome correct. Her layout of what needs to be done with 3’ distancing is way off which makes the rest of her thought process unnecessary and distracting. |
Ugh, the poor kids in that class. That teacher sounds mentally unstable. |
It’s reasonable to follow CDC guidelines, just as thousands of other school districts are also doing. ![]() |
JB’s wife is on the APE steering committee. |
