"here immunity"???
If you meant "herd immunity" then ND is on the way -- only 5100 more students need to catch it -- and 400 more of the teaching staff, 450 more of the administrators and let's just say about 600 of the staff. Figure 1% die -- so we need those 100 people to step up and die already. And, 10% will get long term health problems -- heart defects, lung lesions, etc. . . They need to hurry too. We can't get to herd immunity unless some folks are willing to die and get long term disabilities. What are you doing to help? If you are typing here -- then you are not pulling your weight. Either die already, or at least get a confirm lung lesion that will make insurance companies unwilling to insure you going forward and shorten your life by 5 to 10 years. Do your part. |
ND is doing great. Only 9 new cases today with 2% positivity for today. The have effectively flattened the curve. Classes back in session on Wednesday. Students will be in the football stands!!! Official today!!!!!

| 6,000 tests is very low for a school of that size.. |
How many students do you think go to Notre dame? |
| The schools with big outbreaks in Fall 2020 will be safest schools Fall 2021 |
| ND is not unique but it is stupid to pretend it is doing well. By the end of the week 10% of the students will have covid. |
Just under 13,000 undergrad and grad. |
And you are basing this on what exactly? |
Exactly. In order for that to happen, the number of cases would need to more than double. Must be the parent of a kid sitting in his bedroom every day taking classes. Sad. |
| There is about 9,000 students on and around campus. In a week 5-6 percent of the students tested positive starting from zero. At best, the random tests are identifying about half of the cases but likely less than that. However, if you go with half - the reality is that ND is close to 10 percent right now. |
Shows how little you know. There are closer to 13K students including graduate students. There was one spike at the beginning caused by two off campus parties. They got the spread under control and didn't give up like the other loser universities who just released the students to go home and spread infection further. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-08-30/colleges-with-covid-outbreaks-advised-to-keep-students-on-campus?utm_campaign=pol&utm_medium=bd&utm_source=applenews |
| Watch what happens on September 12th sure the stadium will have students spread out but tailgates, parties etc. That is where this spread is happening. It just won't be at ND it will be at all the schools who are playing football. |
https://here.nd.edu/our-approach/dashboard/ Note that 7 day rolling case positivity rate is now 3.7%. ND is winning the battle. Go Irish!! Show them how it's done. |
Move those goalposts... dooms day in a week... no, two weeks... no, a week or two after the first football game! Give it a rest.
