I agree with this tweet. I saw the cards on Instagram and thought it was so weird. Of course I expected them to post something about celebrating mothers since it’s Mother’s Day here but was surprised to see the three cards to Granny Diana. It felt like a very strategic post to go along with Kate’s visit to Clapham Commons. They need to stop. However, on the other hand, if they keep doing this kind of stuff people will no longer be talking about how Charles is racist. So I guess maybe a seeming sibling rivalry and odd PR stunts, that are clearly stunts, is better than the headlines being about racism in the RBF.

Why does Diana practically get to be Harry’s brand but anything William does in regards to her is PR? They posted about her last year for Mother’s Day as well. In 2017 William did a documentary where he talked about keeping “Granny Diana’s” memory alive for his children. Why does Harry get to constantly bring her up and make being his “mothers son” a huge part of foundation but William’s not allowed to speak about her at all?

This, this, this!!!

NP - I have no issues with William speaking up on her. Diana was his mother too. But there is no need to thrust minor children, particularly ones who never met her and are too young to fully understand the implications of her death, into this and in such a public way. This is gross, just like forcing Diana’s minor sons to walk behind her coffin was gross. And if Harry did this to his kids, it would be gross too.

By "implications of her death," you mean the minor children shouldn't know that their grandmother was wandering around Europe with a coke addict rather than taking care of their father and uncle?

What a hateful response. Diana was a loved mother whose death was a profound and lifelong trauma to her sons. To add to that trauma, her boys were forced to mourn her in an unimaginably public way. Whether you think she was a wh*re or neglectful mother doesn’t change the fact that her death was life changing for her kids and deeply impacted the BRF as well.

How come these two have not been cancelled for this disgusting stunt?

In 2012? Are you from the Solomon Islands because it is part of their culture to welcome dignitaries this way.

Any good foreign ops will tell you you turn down racist stereotypes that don’t benefit the people or the public. Prince Charles turned it down and did not do the chairs.

It’s not a racial stereotype if it is part of their host’s indigenous culture. Are you from an indigenous culture, pp? I am and we fight very hard to retain our traditions in modern society. It is extremely insulting to turn down such an honor.

Is it me or does Will look like Clark from The Americans in that pic?

Well she's dead so she doesn't get a say. They call the Queen "granny" so....

The Queen's their great grandmother and quite a different persona but as you say, Diana's dead so...

"Geriatric"? Diana would have been turning 60 this year.. not exactly young.

Maybe the upper crust British accent makes Granny sound better. I just hear Little House on the Prairie.

More like Beverly Hillbillies. Although Lady Mary called her grandmother Granny, so it must sound better with the British accent.

Is it just me or she has a little bump there?

I don’t see it. But having another kid to deal with increased scrutiny is an essential part of the Cambridge playbook. And at 39 this might be the last bite at the apple.

Didn’t you see the funeral pictures where she looked like a wraith?

Well.. aren't we changing the traditions that are deeply rooted in slavery culture? I am sure they had a say in the welcoming options to opt out of this kind of stuff. This is really nauseating on each and every level.

Forget her.. look at his SEVEN MILES shoes! Holly smoke, I can excuse short guys trying to make up for their short buying shoes that are five sizes too long...but this guy already has sufficient inchage towards the sky so why the oversized shoes? Some complex much?

What a miserable existence. MM does it because she’s a social climber. Both are awful. MM was just not willing to sell her soul like Kate did.

That's because MM doesn't have one.

Yeah.. normal foot, not seven mile.. like his shoes.

Prophecy became reality. Let's see where this goes.

As Kate tentatively reenters public life, the past several months have been filled with the courtiers cajoling, encouraging, and virtually begging Kate to take the work load off of the Queen’s elderly shoulders and start getting Prince William on the royal work track. It’s no secret that the Duchess of Cambridge has been increasingly self-isolating herself and her unhealthy attachment to her mother’s nurturing has caused bewilderment to the courtiers, who as a rule do not view royal life as centered on the self, but duty to the Sovereign. Kate’s indulgence of her attachment to her family in Berkshire has been causing courtiers to become resentful of the Duchess’ clear enjoyment of royal comforts and prerogatives, but her complete lack of effort of doing her duty towards engaging the public and most importantly, lifting the burden of duties from the shoulders of the Sovereign. Kate’s independent approach to her royal role hasn’t been one where she works on her own at making numerous appearances, but is instead filled in a manner of Kate not just dictating her schedule, but deciding if she is even going to work. Her erratic decision making process has resulted in events being scheduled and then canceled, including moments with Kate skipping out on more stately events in favor of a frivolous society gathering. Queen Elizabeth is touted as being in excellent health, but the insiders in the Palace know that the Queen won’t live forever and in fact, the burden that the Queen has suffered has grown increasingly filled with extra stressors.

Kate’s still doing stuff for the BRF 10 years after the wedding. Meghan couldn’t even hack it for a year.
