Where are you? There are no normal bags of rice or any dried beans at all at Whole Foods in Logan Circle. |
and a really good quiche with a beautiful custard base. |
That's totally me! |
Eastern Loudoun County. Come on out! |

I have a stockpile of Nutella, wax wrapped cheese, and wine.
I went to Costco for regular shopping because we are out of milk and paper towels. Paper towels, and water bottles are out of stock until later today. I am not going back though because it was so crazy. People were running with carts to get to the generic Costco toilet paper. Some people had carts loaded with toilet paper. Honestly buying one or two packs of TP when the coupons are out is stockpiling for a family. The canned food aisle with all the stuff that no one here ever buys like tuna fish, canned corn, canned chicken, canned beans was empty. |
People are so dumb its unbelievable. |
Nutella! that's what I'm missing. I live in a working class majority Dominican neighborhood, and we are so well stocked for the apocalypse. Last night at the store it seemed like everyone had 25lbs of rice and 5 gallons of cooking oil, but the shelves were still stocked. |
Wow. I took of work last Tuesday afternoon (the day Dr. Messonier of the CDC announced it was going to get "bad") and there hardly anyone no there except for one other prepper dude. We got everything we needed. Except hand sanitizer - I just wash my hands. |

There was a run on dried minced garlic. Got the last jar for my daughter to cook with. GEEZ!
I did buy 12 fresh bulbs. Crush one clove a day, mix with some butter and make garlic bread. Really good for you and a natural viricide. |
I'm near there. Agreed. |
OMG, me too. I went and stocked up, but did I remember the turkey for the dogs? The distilled water for my steamer? Nope. Will go again tomorrow perhaps. |
Then we faux shape each other when someone in the house eats something “good”. What are you doing eating a peanut butter sandwich?! That’s our shut in food! |
We have a freezer in the basement. We fill empty juice bottles with water and put them in the freezer to add to the thermal mass for cases of power loss. Doubles as another water source. We also have waterbobs that can be used to store potable water in a bathtub, though that requires some advance notice in order to fill the waterbob. |

I just bought 5 frozen pizzas. So blame me for my pizza stockpiling if you can't find any.
