OP, thinking of you and Baby. Hope he's feeling better.
Oh no, I am so sorry to hear this! I really hope Baby recovers quickly. How scary. I have 4 cats, who go outside when I am home, and I do worry about something happening. Please keep us updated OP. I have really enjoyed your pictures. How old is Amelia now? She is getting so big!

Thanks, everybody! Sorry for not updating sooner. We have had a very busy week.
Baby came home yesterday. His fever is gone and the pain seems to be much less, though he is still walking cautiously and is having trouble jumping onto furniture/windowsills. He will be on antibiotics for another week, but doesn't need pain meds at this point. They had planned to wait another day or two to remove the drains, but he was having a really miserable time there (he went three days without eating and spent the first part of his hospitalization hissing and then got very depressed), so they removed them and sent him home. He was so happy to see me that he jumped on my shoulders and started purring loudly. He is very happy to be home, but unfortunately he has learned nothing from this nightmare and keeps trying to get outside. He is 8! One would think it would be time to retire and enjoy the good life. |
So glad he is home! How many of his 9 lives has he burned through? Hope he gets a nap with your DD soon!
Thanks for the update OP. So glad to hear Baby is recovering!
Sounds like things are going in the right direction! Glad to hear it!!
Between the fisher attack, cat fights resulting in infection, the tail amputation, the multiple escapes from 2nd story windows and now the owl attack . . . far too many.

Thank you for the update, so relieved Baby is home safe! Was worried for a minute.
