Baby will only nap with cat in crib.. would you allow it?

Your cat is the shizz. Babies loose the most heat through head- hence the caps on newborns. Cats loooove heat. Babies head=cat favorite nap spot. To all others, who would rather the cat to drop the habit, get him an electric blanket to nap on

OP here. You are right -- he is the shizz! He actually used to sleep on my head before the baby came along. Those pictures aren't quite as cute.

Once again, I was really surprised to come here and see this thread on the first page. We just got home from a dinner party at which the blog was a topic of conversation. No one could believe how sweet the cat is with her. I feel very blessed that they get along so well.

I showed these pics to my cats to show them that it is possibly to love "that thing". (In my head that's how I imagine they refer to my DD). They rolled their eyes and walked away. Actually they ran cause the baby was getting too close.

Hi everyone, this is OP. Baby got out yesterday and was attacked by an owl. He is now in the kitty hospital. The doctor expects him to recover, but he is fighting an infection and is in a lot of pain. Please keep him in your thoughts.

Aww. Poor thing. Does your DD understand that her best buddy is sick? How is she taking it? I'm guessing at this point when kitty does get home, your daughter can give her friend extra gentle pat-pats to help kitty feel better.

Yes, when we got home this evening she picked up his food dish and said "kitty go?" I reminded her that we brought him to the doctor because he was hurt and she seemed to remember. She came with me when I brought him in. She thought it was pretty cool having the cat in the car.

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes. He is a tough little guy and I am sure he will pull through. He has to!
