Great game. Defensive battle

Ok, I’m going to try to give justice to both teams here because they were both amazing today

Everyone knew that this was going to be a defensive battle. Madison has one of the best rides in the midfield and BF has a lot of natural defenders.

BF dominated the draw to stay the game, then Madison started to get a couple of wins late in the second after a timeout. Once Madison won a couple BF switched their draw girl for a couple of draws and then they went back to the original draw girl and they started winning again. I think BF won about 2/3 draws. But I will say this, they were battling hard on that circle

At halftime the game was time 3-3. After halftime Madison got the game hard and scored three in a row and really had momentum on their. With about 5 minutes left in the third quarter BF scored three in a row to end the quarter

BF then came out with momentum to start the fourth. BF scored two before Madison stopped the bleeding and closed the game back to one point, 8-7. BF tried to stall for several minutes and Madison’s relentless defense fought hard to get the ball back. They were doubling the ball and the ball carrier found an open girl and she was able to help BF get the final score of the game

It was a great game and the girls on both teams deserve the respect of in Virginia of playing in a heck of a game so early in the season

Thanks for a balanced summary.

Were there any other games today

It was just as bad on the Madison side behind the BF bench. Madison coach had to warn parent who was standing at fence.

Teams tied 1-1 on loud parents.

A couple more takes from the game. Both defenses were solid. Madison very aggressive and different looks throughout game. BF just as strong with 2 freshman looking like upperclassmen. Goalies put on a show. Kept score in single digits. BF. Goalie made some beautiful saves in 4th quarter definitely provided momentum for Bobcats.

BF plays PVI tomorrow
Madison vs Robo Wednesday

My take on next games:

Not sure BF can revive that quickly to stay up with one if the better private schools in the area, even though they are not as good as they have been in the past

Madison will destroy Robinson because they will come out angry

Did any of the young players stand out on either team? Both teams are really young and will both be in the hunt for years to come

So BF just beats Lightridge 17-5 and goes to Madison and beats a team coming off a 17-3 win over Langley and they are an annoyance? Please clarify team or parents.
