Short guy here and I never cared about my height until I realized that women mainly want tall guys (didn’t realize this until early 20’s). I was always short growing up and never felt bad about it or felt like “less of a man”. I was always attracted to women taller than me too. Most other short guys I know think the same way, we don’t mind women being taller than us, it’s actually kind of hot.

Lots of white people think Asian women are submissive, and that Latinas have hot tempers and are attractive and "love their men". I grew up in LA, and went to school that had a high % of Hispanic people.

AA woman here. I've heard about the same stereotype about Asian women being submissive, however, from plebby white dudes that I'd never in a million years ever consider dating. They desperately need some kind of delusional validation for their supremacy. Well-educated people with decent upbringing will refrain from saying things like that about any ethnicity.

I don't read this the same way. Stereotypically speaking, I think men look abroad for women b/c they're hoping to avoid some feature of dating in the US that hasn't been successful for them. Like they think a foreign woman would have lower standards than a woman from the US. Maybe they're less attractive and think someone from another country might be willing to overlook that detail for the opportunity to be with a man from the US. Maybe they really value a homemaker and someone who will defer to their guidance so they're looking for someone from a patriarchal society. It's not nice, but unless the man in question travels internationally for work or otherwise spends time abroad, my first thought is "mail order bride".
